Just a quick question

I have a 55g tank that I will be upgrading soon, hopefully by the end of the summer. I have some angels, tetras, and some balas. I am looking to go to a 60" 120g tank or a 150 48" tank which way should I go?

couple things to consider.. how much room you have and the other dimensions of the tank.

60" (assuming you gave length measurements) 120gal. You will appreciate a less tall tank as well as the added surface area. - JMO

both are length measurements, I will be putting the in my basement, down where the rest of entertainment is at.

longer is better because of planting and surface area - IMO

taller can get to be a pain to reach into to clean and scape - IMO

I think you'll really like the 60"

In almost all cases, the larger footprint is more important. I would go with the longer tank.

the foot print (sq foot area)is determined by length and width.

so the 60" tank may not have a larger footprint.

The 120 is 60"x18"x26", compare to the 150 at 48"x24"x31".

btw, angels will like the taller tank
more water is usually a good thing.

looks like the 150 has a slightly larger foot print.
120g =1080 sq in

150 g=1152 sq. in
