Just got an Aquaclear filter and I hate it!

I have 5 aqua clears on 3 tanks, and they all run quiet unless the water level is low, my only complaint is they don't restart automatically if there is a power outage.

If you were to add an aqua-lift pump (dosing pump) it would restart automatically after a power outage, about $8-$15 depending on where you buy it and if on sale or used.

But now that you mention it, I can unplug mine and it starts back up with the water remaining inside when I plug it back in no problem. The only time mine will not restart is if I drain almost all the water manually for cleaning.
 
Ive got an aquaclear 300 thats been with me for years from Sw, Sw/Lr , Reef and now Fw. I never had a problem. It so silent that sometimes I doubt its on. Ive had power outages and it restarts with no problem. It only has a problem startin if theres no water in it.
