i have gone back and forth on what fish to stock in my 75g. i have come up with my final stock list about 10 times now. i just can't seem to make up my mind on my focal/main fish or whatever you call it. i need advice, pros/cons...
for those who don't know here's my current stock list
2 bk/wt clowns
1 pj cardinal
1 royal gramma
1 blue neon goby
1 orange-back fairy wrasse
i plan on adding
1 midas blenny
1 green (yes green now) clown goby
and here's where the dilema comes in. all along i planned on adding 2 dwarf angels, a potters and an african flameback. then i decided no on the potters after doing some reading on how delicate they are and no on the flameback because i don't want any more yellow in the tank. so then i decided to go with a coral beauty. then i decided why am i going to risk an angel at all in my reef am i dumb..? so after talking to my lfs they said get a tang... my husband wants a
regal tang - i am VERY leary of this! i think they are #1 too big, #2 too prone to disease (expecially in a smaller tank). one of my lfs has a beautiful small regal that we were looking at today and we really liked it. the owner of the store was telling us that his tanks are all basically QT tanks (copper treated water), we could take the fish home and put him in our display and he could pretty much guarentee it would break out in ick. then we watched this perfect healthy looking fish rub on the rocks. - which is why i'd prefer a tang at least a little hardier like a -
kole tang or a
purple tang
or go back to the angel idea and go with something like a swallowtail. BUT i would really like a bright colored, swimming around a lot kinda fish so i don't know that the swallowtail would fit the bill (not so colorful..?)
what do you all think? do you have any suggestions for me.. PLEASE :wall:
