Neervana...you mention wanting to prove to your dad you can stand on your own two feet. I think you going to school for forensic science, when other may expect different from you, shows you have the courage to be true to yourself. Not a bad start towards that goal. When test time comes just try to relax and have confidence in your knowledge.
neervana, ..Forensic science is a pretty stable field with advancements made every day. Its just as challenging, and demanding as any other profession, even medical. Good luck

Your Dad and others should commend you for your choices...that is a very interesting field to go into!hmmmm well lets see....you guys want an insight into what im trying to struggle with this time?!! I'm at uni doing forensic science....and everyone at my place are surgeons. my sister, brother in law, everyone. you name it. obviously there's always gonna be the youngest who doesn't live up to everyone's expectations, and that's me! had to fight so i could convince my dad about doing forensic science rather than medecine. now, im in the middle of exams and really feeling the pressure, i know for sure if i don't pass my finals my dad will get me hitched! so been feeling kind of down lately. i'm hoping i can prove to my dad that i can stand on my own two feet without his help, because all my life he has sent to a private school, i have never had to struggle. i'm worried that i may not pass these exams and then i'll be the only idiot in my family. and worse of all...i don't want to let my dad down. im worrying now because i had my first exam on tuesday and it was hardand these are my finals, i really need to pass these to continue into next year! worry worry worry. thats all i ever do.
Its been alternating between rain and sun here all day On the bright side, I got my back yard all cleaned up, and, I even got my propane tank filled, and the grill all cleaned, my fire pit is ready to go, Now, if the weather will just cooperate, tom, I am so grillin!

I am so miffed right now!!! I got called an idiot, because i compared genocide in dogs, to genocide in humans, ..To me it is the same thing! We as humans can not stand by and allow them to desecrate whole breeds because they want to!! Its crazy!!!
I am not discussing any specific breed( I am , but I am just venting, and do not want the thread shut down, so please this is not exactly open for debate on dog breeds)

I find it hard to belive someone would call you an idiot just for that! There are sooo many other reasons. :silly:
Seriously though, let me at 'em! I'm not sure I'd make that exact comparison, but I find the treatment of dogs (and other pets) and the dismissal of so many "put to sleep" (Nice PC term huh?) completely appalling.
They didn't feel the comparison was acceptable, They obviously felt, that since they are human, they deserve the right to breath oxygen more so than any other living creature, My opinion just differs, .and he couldn't accept that.
It is a harsh reality, however, to me, in my mind, it is no different.
