Still need to attach fans and permanently mount it, but its basically done otherwise. Starting at 25% / 40% for now.

Nice work.

What is that housing/heat sink made of?

The heatsink is a standard 1.4" from Rapidled. The housing is a 48" Utilitech shoplight from Home Depot. Drilled out the one bolt holding the guts in, gutted it, drilled two more holes and bolted the heatsink in.

Next step will be to drill holes for fans on top. Was debating between where to mount them, but I think that'll work best.

Ah, I see that now. Looks good!

Not much to update. Did see a larger version of the mystery Jawfish at a LFS. All they could tell though is "one of those rock gobies", which didn't help. Looks like it grows to about 5-6" though.

This is probably the best grower at the moment.

Experimented with SPS, didnt go so well for the Montipora. Found a nice Encrusting Gorgonian frag though, so will use the skeleton and frag plug to grow that on the back glass instead.

A 5 to 6" jaw fish will be able to fit just about any fish in its mouth.

The cord police have been called and will be there shortly :).

Back to not being sure it is a Jawfish (the larger one looked even less like one). :screwy:

I'd just call it a Rock Goby like the store did, but the not-so-little-now Frillfin might get insulted at having his local common name stolen... :D
