I HAD two Kribensis in my tank. A few months ago, the female died. The male became more reclusive that he was before, even though he didn't hang out much with the female.
When upgraded to much brighter LED lights, the male decided to stay hidden most of the time. When I fed the fish, he would only come out to eat after I tossed the food in and walked a good distance away.
Well, on Friday I went out and bought a new Kribensis. It's now 2 days later and the two of them are inseparable. The two come out together and swim the whole tank together. He still gets a little spooked when I come close to the tank. She seems OK with me. But at least I see them out and about when I am sitting on the couch and staring at the aquarium.
Glad I made the little guy happy.
What other community friendly cichlids can I toss in there?
