L-10a fry pics

Maybe in a few months, after they grow large enough to ship. It remains to be seen whether they'll survive. From what I've read if they make it through the first month they're past the critical stage. I don't move my BN fry to other tanks until they reach 1", and prefer them to be a little larger than that for shipping. Smaller fry don't have much fat reserve.

Maybe a future club meeting! :D Keep me posted :)

Here's another size comparison pic, the 2 tiny fry are at the same distance from the camera as the "giant" thermometer:

Little better look at their overall appearance:

Their tails do seem to be longer 5-6 days after the first pics:

Hard to see among the Najas, it's where most of them hang out:

Terrific shots!

Their tails really did grow Todd!

id be interested in one of them when you go to sell

Curious....what diameter tubes are you using, and are they clear or of a solid color?

I would loooove one. I have one already and he is my all time favorite fish! He needs a buddy!

I think it's 1" pvc, not actually sure offhand though. The thinner stuff was used for shipping some assassin snails last year. For some reason the slightly larger, thicker-walled piece seems to be the favored tube. I see them hanging out in the smaller ones, but the eggs turned up in the bigger tube. They prefer bamboo, but I haven't been able to find any. I'm surprised they were able to spawn successfully in a tube that's only large enough for one fish to fit into at a time.
