Lake Monster - catching rare monster fish

I thought the video was neat, and I can see how it would benefit conservation by allowing people to fish for these creatures without destroying native habitats and population. It is certainly an interesting idea.

I think I need to move to a warmer climate and rent me a backhoe, lol.

There are fish that are endemic to Florida that can handle the weather just fine. It's the released "Pet fish" that are ruining the native fish populations. Not just in Florida either.

I dunno, after getting into the aquarium hobby, I have a hard time fishing anymore. Poor things - just seems cruel??

Maybe just me...

But I agree - cool idea that maybe could help conserve some of these species in their native habitats.
