so i've had a very slight algae problem. this week i cut back from 10hrs to 8hrs. and now my problem is getting worse. whats up with that?

sorry. everything is in my tank set up
parameters are n 40-80ppm, p 2ppm,
i dose all of my ferts except for n (it's in my tapwater)

not too sure on the type of algae. i would guess fuzz algae. it grows on my glass and is very short but just long enough to move in the current

5 bottles.
i'm hoping to be able to afford pressurized next week. but there is always something else to buy that's more important

the only fert thats on a schedule is K. which i dose 10ppm everyother day. all other ferts i test and dose accordingly

when you say p you mean phosphate? i think your phosphate is too high for the conditions that you have. you can 'starve' bba by lowering phosphate cutting back on light (8 hours of 2 wpg should be good).

i agree that your diy co2 fluctuations are going to attribute to this a lot as well.

how often do you do water changes? what % water do you change?
