lets see your tang tank

I thought any sand that wasn't natural was silica sand..

Thanks guys!
wow i love the look. the stone work looks awsome and natural. what are the dimensions and how many gallons. welcome to the wonderful world of riftlake cichlids!
It's only a 20 long.

This isn't my first Tang tank. I had a 20H with a male brichardi and female daffodil (that produced hundreds of little hybrid babies I used as feeders). That was almost 6 years ago. The tank also had a little 2" Syno. nigrita in it. He's now over 6" and in my 150.

Here's a crappy picture of the daffodil and a few fry

On a good note the experts are now saying Daff's and Brichardi's are the same just different Variants.. Its got something to do with location in the lake.. I guess an example would be Calvus you have a Black Calvus and a white Calvus same species two different variants from different locations.. It would be considered Line Crossings instead of Hybrids.. Either way nice tank.. Its all debatable..

Here's my new Tang tank. No fish yet, but I'll have them soon.

I should be getting the first fish (A Syno. petricola-maybe a couple/few because they're pretty young ones, still small) tomorrow, and I have a new Fluval 205 and some Julies coming for it within the next week!

would petrocola cats eat fry. cuzi know that syno cats are normally notorious fry eaters

i love tank that are full of rock, but i wonder how much water volume it takes away

IMO, water volume isn't that important. More important is the tank's footprint or area (length x width) and practically that doesn't change with the presence of rocks.
