Here is my tank. I just put the fishes in a couple of weeks ago (calvuses, cyps, paracyps, and gobies) after two months of fishless cycling it. Unfortunately the gobies died within a week.

this is really realy late, but.... freshwater mussels will clean water of algae spores, that's what they live on, they're not reccomended to keep cause it's hard to keep em fed in a clean tank, but in a bad situation like the one you had they'd work, and you could get rid of them when they were done.

The tank is a 75g, and yes I will try with gobies again. I am just waiting to find the ones I want.

gobies are awsome, ive got 2 but they beat the crap outta each other so i had to seperate them. they are a really peaceful fish, until you put in another of their kind... by far they are my favorite.
