LFS Hilarity

Because it's purple string! Really, this is a 12 string guitar, but the use of the purple string substitutes for 7 of them. Sheesh. :)

unca i ve been following this story since the beginning. when purple string is attached to something normal it makes it ... umm different yeaah and it somehow doesnt look right. but the fish will like it and thats all that matters.right?

It's a 5 string bass. Standard bass with (usually) a low B at the top. Sometimes with a high b at bottom, but this looks to me like the former. They also have 7 string guitars to complament the bass in the same fassion. And while Im at it, there are 6 string bass' with the same string pattern as a 6 string guitar only an octave lower.

I found an interesting review of a Korean movie which might give us a more complete picture of the whole rock with string phenomenon

A rock with string has many lessons to teach us, it seems.

I like my explanation better. Spoil sport! :p:

What kind of bass are you tying these 5 strings (with rock attached I presume) to?

It has been calculated that the following are the max RWPS per fish:

Peacock Bass - 4 RWPS
Largemouth Bass - 4 RWPS
Smallmouth Bass - 3 RWPS
Chilean Sea Bass - 3 RWPS
Striped Bass - 16 RWPS

If you have another Bass species I recommend checking the Rock With Purple String website for more information.

:joke:

I wonder how my guitar would look with purple strings?
