Hey,
Are you putting the lights directly on the top of the tank or are you putting them a few inches up? I have my lights resting on the glass top. I am going to remove the glass top and mount them higher in my canopy (about 3-4 inches). I think the light will get more evenly dispersed this way.
Can anyone suggest which way would be better?
Low or High? I have read the differences between with glass vs without.

I removed all of the glass and have the light directly on top of the eggcrates. This Friday the lights are going on legs though so I can get into the tank easier...the eggcrates will stay due to possible fish jumping attempts.
I think I have the same setup... just a bit bigger.

I have a wooden canopy. Will the saltwater do any damage if it splashes, etc? That's probably a stupid question... LOL, oh well.
