lionfish

What type of Puffer? Be careful with the sharpnose's (Canthigaster sp.) as they are notorious for chewing the fins of lions (remember only the top 13 spines are venomous, all other finnage is NOT). An Antennata would do pretty well in a 55, Fu Manchu would do great (these are my favorite lion and one of my all time favorite fish...just wish stores around me carried them :( ) and will be a little small for a Radiata but they will do ok. Hope this helps and good luck!

Cripes

CRIPES.I never new there were so many types of puffers and lionfish..........Can somebody please give me some suggestions. All I really want is a pretty lionfish and a cute puffer and if room a angle. In as small of a tank as possable for them to thrive and be healthy.Dont have to have the angle.

Hmmm Would that work good? I was really wanting to stay away from the dwarfs. They just seem to small and not very colorful. At least the ones I have seen. But I am going to do some google on all of those. I dont know anything about eels. thanks!

eels,,,,,,,,,,,,,hmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,That sounds kinda cool the more I think about it. I always thought of them as being mean but yet always hiding.

Dude, I looove eels. And snowflakes are hardy, cheap, and pretty.

Feeding is pretty much the same as most marine predators, such as lions. Be sure to use a feeding stick.

Eels are somewhat reclusive, but as they become accustomed to the tank, they are more active. They are also more active at night.

Also, if you go with the stocking list I posted, you will not be able to keep any motile inverts. The eel and puffer will eat them.

Please post anything else you'd like to know. :)

Im really kinda new at the salt water.........I got alot of questions. Do you mind if I ad you to my fav. list. I go to my LFS and they tell me what they think I want to hear so I will buy. If I go somewhere like petsmart or petco you talk to some 17 year old and get a different answer from each one you ask.
