Apparently my betta was just trying to get out of going to school yesterday.

Last night I came home determined to add salt to the water and jack the temps way up to help him out with what I perceived to be clamped fins due to the stress of a parasite.

When I looked in on him, however, he was fine! he was swimming around as usual, ate like a pig, didn't have any clamped fins, and seemed normal. He still has the stuff on his face so I think I'm going to get some bettafix at lunch and start a treatment with that. If it doesn't go away though I'll just let it be.

Thanks to all those who responded to my thread yesterday!

Tom

ya betta are known for doing what they feel like and not what they are 'supposed to' as read in books and such

I know what you guys are talking about...my betta is constantly flaring up, last night i got a digital camera to get a pic of him flaring. he didnt flare at all, it was so frustrating!
