Log of using Dr. Tim's One and Only Nitrifying Bacteria

depends on the bioload, do you have any live plants? If not, the nitrate will just accumulate.

You coiuld have nitrates already in the water from your source wate. Test the source water to see if you do. If you dont test the parameters of your source water this will skew the results from your test.

Will do this when I get home today.

Use your regular dechlor and aerate it in a bucket for 24 hours before testing tap water. It changes quite a bit compared to right out of the tap.:) Best of luck to you

This may be a product that uses refrigerated bacteria.

there use to be a product that had live bacteria but was hit and miss due to storage issues.(Bio-spira)
basically similar to using filter squeezins.

I believe that this new product is from the same Dr. Tim Hovanec..creator of Bio-spira

So what would the difference be between Dr. Tim's and other biological additives like Stress Zyme, Cycle, and Stability? Do those just accelerate the growth of bacteria while Tim's IS bacteria? I'm confused...

I conditioned the old fashioned way, with 3 fish, monitoring parameters and making PWC's, so I dont know about these additives...
