Thanks ky. I love cory's, but you're right, I probably don't need another bottom dwelling species. Betta might be better. Are they ok alone?

i was about to take pics of the peppermint shrimp tank i made out of a water jug when i realized thers no memory card. it'll be home by 8 
If you go with male bettas you can only have one per tank. With that size tank I would only go with one female also. Just make sure you have plenty of hiding places for your shrimp. Every betta is different, you never know if they will bother your shrimp or not. Just keep a close on them. I'm sure there are smaller fish as well that would do great in there. Make a post in general freshwater to see if you can get better ideas. I'm always happy to see the poor cup bettas get a new home!

the smallest fish i can think of are least killis, but they're dwarfed by glass shrimp.

ya, hes EVIL. hes in the tiny tank cus he nipped at the scorpionfish in the 46. if i didnt take him out im sure i would have found him with my expensive fish in his claws
