This has been a really bad day. Some kids down the road from me were shooting left over bottle rockets and one went into the field next to me and started it on fire. Fifty three acres went up in smoke in a matter of forty minutes. Luckily no homes were destroyed and nobody got hurt. I could feel the heat from my back door. I loaded the kids in the car and was ready to leave at any moment.
After just now getting my house back to normal I can't believe I came that close to losing everything again.
These were taken with my phone. I have to give it to the local firefighters the did one hell of a job!!!!!!
The last picture is how close the fire came to our building out back. Luckily they stopped it at the tree line. I lost my trees. The second to the last is my husband and the after math.

thats scary, remindes me of that video. iv made that mistake before, but it was my own yard. only an acre was burnt but because ther are no fire hydrants, if it got any bigger, i doubt the water truck would have been able to handle it. those things are far more trouble than ther worth
It is so dry here. We were told the firefighters had been on four different calls today. All field fires.
