Looking for a tankmate

you could use green sewing thread it blends in with the plant and looks more natural than a rubber band or the same color thread of the rock its your call.. cool deal on the new transcript's buddy they are sweet i love mine, i placed 5 of them in a 55gal and i have 3 left the two that paired and one other that is smart staying away from the current pair the other 2 were killed..

I got my transcriptus yesterday morning and there were even two extras in the shipment! So now I have six rainbows and eight transcriptus in the tank.

Here are some pictures:

One other thing.....anything special I should be feeding the transcriptus? They are barely an inch and the seller told me they're about 10 weeks old. Wondering what I could feed them that the rainbows won't get to first and also something appropriate for the juvie transcriptus!

live brine target feeding with a baster flakes for the rainbow's..

I was in PetSmart last night and came across a "chaetostoma thomasii" pleco. The label says this fish only gets to be 5".

Would something like this work with my setup.

Maybe. I tried an ancistrus spp. in my 55 and it got chased around for the first 5 minutes after I introduced it. I decided it was much better off in my 30 planted than with my tangs...cichlids are too unpredictable to tell really.

i agree with jpappy and i too just acquired 4 baby albino bristelnose plecos and will more than likely keep a pair in the 120gal and a pair in the 55gal when they reach a more suitable size..

That's why I was kinda thinking now would be a good time. The "rubbernose" that I saw is only 1.5" to 2" now and I don't think any of my juvie transcriptus would bother him as they are only 1" at most and stay pretty tight to the rocks. I'm sure the rainbows wouldn't mess with him.

I'm not going to do something if there's a good chance of it disrupting that tank. I was just wondering if this would be a good idea or not right now.
