my fish will not eat the flake I buy them, I want to be able to feed them the best there is. they want live foods, but will not touch the flake. what is the best tasting flake food out there and at the best quality??

I would say Hikari is the best, followed by Omega One, in my opinion. There are other great brands though, these are the ones that I've had the best experience with. I don't feed flake though, so can't help you there. Hikari has many flake alternatives.

I use Hikari baby brine shrimp, algea wafers, and Omega veggie flakes and regular flake, also Omega shrimp pellets, and various other fresh veggies...........:)

I do pellet to for my big fish, but my fish crush them and its every where. I want to keep the mess to a minumum so to speak. they get pellets, tetra crisp, brine shrimp and blood worms, but I alwso wanted to feed flake. my new guppy seem to not want anything but brine shrimp. its frustrating . I have many different flakes, but they will not take any. I would let them go a few days with out but there still young, and some are babies.

Hikari Frozen Foods and Bio-Gold Pellets,Omega One Flakes and Shrimp Pellets and recently New Life Spectrum Cichlid is what I use. The verdict is still out for me on NLS as Ive just started using it.

New Life Spectrum hands down. It is better than Hikari or Omega One. Don't just take my word on it. There is an article in my blog about it, plus tons of info on their site (including a video, nutrition article, and testimonials from people with all sorts of fish).

glf: you are barking up the wrong tree here.

I have noted the quantity of your posts and I believe that you have time for trials.
