Looking to add some color (fish) to my tank, any suggestions?

thats odd, my angels are pretty color ful...oh well to each his own.

I say angels, rams, dwarf gouramis....

Would angels be OK in a 55 with neons? I keep hearing people saying not to have the two together. That it's OK at first but then as the angels grow the neons look more like food.

I have to agree that angels, especially the orange and the yellow/white/black marbled ones look colorful. I like the dwarf gouramis too... many colors to choose from there and a very peaceful fish.

My understanding is that its OK if they grow up together but dont introduce more Neons at a later stage, otherwise the Angels will eat them.

Angels probably outlive Neons.

I think it is a combination of issues with angels and neons. Some people have never had issues, others have nothing but issues. I think it works best when the neons are the early inhabitants and grow out quite a bit. A large heavily planted tank with lots of hiding spots and then get your angels, very small ones. Even then, once and a while the angel can still do them in.

bolivian rams are more of a yellow color (in good health) rather than a blue color. You should get 1 male and 1 female although they are very hard to sex especially when young.
