Probably one of the coolest parts of getting live rock is discovering phyla you have never heard of. It's cool, isn't it.

Your pix aren't so bad themselves. My camera is a Canon PowerShot G3 (now they only make the G5), which gives me 4 megapixels and a lot of things I can adjust. I am still learning a lot, but what has helped immensely are:
1. Use a tripod for everything.
2. Use the tank lighting, unless it's absolutely necessary to use the flash.
3. Bracket exposure like crazy.
4. Do a final adjustment of brightness, contrast, intensity, gamma, and sometimes color balance in photoshop or photopaint.
