Ok so I have decided that I believe last night the LW would of went after and got, JL..Mad..Sploke...or Ewurm.
I could see tonight them going after Rb..Ogre...DD....Charlie. I think they may go after a higher profile player tonight mainly because we all talked about them taking a more "low profile" player.
That's a nice list LG, but you might want to put yourself on there also....
The thing that folks need to keep in mind is that every player here is fair game for the vamps. While all would be valuable additions to the baddies, they do need to be careful in terms of what order they try to stock their team.
I know you mention that they may go after higher profile players in an effort to change things up on the village, as that's what they think we'd expect. While that is a possibility, pulling higher profile players in early leaves them open to some 'automatic' investigations that tend to occur with those players. IMO it would make more sense to bring in some lesser-knowns early, and then follow with some higher profiles. That way the 'automatic' investigations may have already occurred before that higher profile player is turned. It's likely that they'll need to vary this somewhat, just to keep the village on our toes. But I really think that they'll need to lay off most of the higher profiles early on.
The problem with finding the vamps in this game, is that past performance is not necessarily an indicator of current status (vamp vs. villager). At some point a lot of vamp IDs will probably fall on the shoulders of the seer. Therefore it might be important that the seer vary their investigations (ie, not all of the higher profile 'automatic' investigations at the beginning of the game).
For the remainder of the village (those without special powers), actually finding baddies may prove more difficult than in past games. A villager with a stellar behavior and voting record may be turned, and none of the past information will matter. We really need to think how we're going to find these folks.
I've been giving this some thought, and a method that we might consider is something that I'll call 'bandwagoning.' Basically piling votes on folks deemed suspicious and making them answer questions until satisfied with the responses.
Please note that this is different than 'lynchtraining.' A lot of folks just piling on other folks and riding the trains to the lynch is not likely to help the town. Folks involved with 'bandwagoning' will need to be involved, and following the game closely. They'll also need to be willing to move their votes accordingly (ie, not just park them early and ride them to the lynch). Anyone parking a vote early, not questioning/posting in the meantime and then riding all the way to lynch will need to be viewed with extreme prejudice.
The main problem that I see with 'bandwagoning' at this time is that the 24 hour days don't allow enough time for the fluidity of voting that would be required. Once 48 hour days start, though, I think that it may be a viable methodology for rooting out scum. Like I said earlier, though, before proceeding with 'bandwagoning' folks would need to agree to be pretty involved to avoid a bunch of runaway lynchtrains.
