MAFIA 10: Vampires!

Well, at least I got to review everything before heading in to work. Still trying to sort things out.

By my tally, ggf and bkw were tied at 6 votes each as night fell. The kidnapper takes ggf, just for fun or for a reason. It could have been they were worried about ggf getting staked, but we do not know the time when the kidnap request went in.

I'd be interested in some clarification from Ice. If Ice flipped a coin and the tie vote to stake someone fell on ggf, the kidnap would protect them.

If the tie vote coin flip decided bkw gets the villagers stake, the kidnap is just a happening in the village, but why the wording of the events. Ice went out of his way to tell of the villagers looking for ggf and then them going to bkws house.

Ice stated at 7:06 that the first kidnapping was going to happen; at 7:20, Ice's tally shows it 5/6, ggf/bkw, and then CS comes in at 7:37 and puts a vote on ggf.

Was the villagers going to ggf's house just part of the story line to set up the kidnap...? If so, I can understand why the villagers are mentioned in bkw's death. If the coin toss actually choose ggf, and the kidnap saved ggf, why are the villagers in bkw's death and why did they die...?

I vote to put a stake in Sploke.

Looking back through his posts I see a pattern of him not really saying anything helpful and his first posts of both days didn't occur until he was called out and then it was just a quickie with no info at all. He just strikes me as the most likely suspect at this point in the game.

I vote to stick a stake into charlie stubbs

1) I think he is playing a little different this time.
Yeah sure, same as last game right??? Always with the "He's playing differently"

2) I also think that by asking for my first vote is a way to have a smoke screen, maybe not. I think guilty players have done this in the past.
Guilty players have done this in the past. You know they have. So have innocent players, but i guess you don't remember any of those. I like to role play. Should i have waited until someone else did so they would get your vote???
3) Either way, he has not posted much. Maybe he is busy.
Uh, I haven't posted much??? Thats classic. Every post you make seems to say "Sorry i was lurking", or "don't have much time to post" and you accuse me of not posting??? Shame on you, my toothy friend. I don't have a computer where i work. I post a little in the morning, then after work.
4) Ogre voted for him. That has to mean something.
Yes it does mean something. It means you two might be in cahoots, my toothy friend, and Ogre now has some company on my top suspect list. It looks like this:
Ogre
JL

This vote is subject to change.
comments above.

So mad tell me who you think we should be looking at/voting for? I am most focused on Sploke and Ewurm really right now..what are your thought on them?

As far as who might be viable for an earlier turn by the vamps, I like Ewurm best....not saying that he's a vamp, yet, though. Sploke would be a good candidate, and so would Deputy, IMO.

A couple of problems I'm having though is that it's highly unlikely that all of these folks are vamps (their only probable crimes to date is that they're attractive turn candidates). Also, as more people continue to play mafia together, the line between higher and lower profile players becomes blurrier (at least in my mind). While Sploke and DC are lower profile players in my mind, they've both proven themselves as excellent players. Their status as lower profile players for me is mainly due to the fact that I haven't played as much with of them as I have with some other players (but that's mainly my fault, as I've tried to cut down my mafia schedule since my family isn't as supportive of my crime-fighting hobby as they should be).

With that said, I really dislike pre-emptive strikes, as in addition to possibly not being vamps, the risk of lynching a power role is also a possibility. The upside is that tonight is the last night of 'free turns' for the vamps, so today is really the last day that we'll need to consider who might be worthy of a pre-emptive strike.

So, after all that, my list of likely vamp desirables at this point would be ewurm, Sploke, and DC. Can't say if I'll vote for any of them, as I'd always prefer to look for scummy behavior and vote that route. But it really seems like these early 24 hour days fly by, and not a lot of patterns have yet emerged...if nothing else develops, a vote for them becomes a stronger possibility.

Ok, just got home...After wrk I wanted to watch the Mets win for once in 6 games and went to the bar....Then my frienfd showed up and i got ready to pay my tab and she wouldn't let me leave cuz this annoying guy ket bothering her and she started buying,d my drinkiks for me so I'd stayb amd keep him away fronkjm her. I'm goin to go to bed now but plan o vote in the morningf when I resd thindgs better...night nighht..

And the lesson, kids, is don't drink and post. OR don't try to cover your vampirism by pretending to be drunk. :lipssealedsmilie:

I agree with this. Sploke and ewurm are probably my top two right now. Although I still am worried that the Kidnapper died last night. Has anyone still not posted since Day 2 began?

Well like I said yesterday, i wasn't going to be around until later last night. I was viewing the thread for a while because I had about 200 posts to catch up on between when I left work and when I got back on. By the time I was through, I was falling asleep but I at least wanted to post something before going to bed, especially since at about that time a lot of people were wondering where I was it seemed. Nothing sinister going on there.

7) IF YOU DO NOT POST OR VOTE IN THE 1ST DAY/NIGHT CYCLE YOU DIE NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU THINK THAT YOU WILL BE MISSING THAT MUCH TIME THEN DON'T JOIN.

It says here that you die if you don't vote or post in the first cycle. So why are the 3 of us dead?

Ok, I found it YES there was a turn!
Now for who is left in the game:
Rb
Charlie
DD
Sploke
JL
Zsand
Guppy
Mad
Dc
Ewurm
Sway
LG
MM
Ogre
Yes, DD I put you under Charlie:hearts:
As far as can we vote off a kidnap victim I'm not sure unless I missed it I didn't see it in the rules..it says pretty much everything but if the town can vote that person off?
G, you rock!! :headbang2:

rb, this is pretty confusing if you ask me. Care to explain why you are going into such detail without realy saying anything? Is it that you need to post something confusing enough to make it "look" like you've done a great deal?
hmmmmmm.... Still looking for a dentist?

Well everyone except GGF has posted since last nightfall, so I think its safe to assume our kidnapper is still with us.

so, going back over the rules as best as I can understand it, we're pretty safe in assuming GGF is a villager, correct?

Nice to see I am not the only person who felt RB's rambling was completely unnecessary, confusing and rather irrelevent.
