Mafia 100-The Witches Return-The Game

In my last post I said :

I read post 283 and it confused me quite a bit.

I meant to say I read post 287 - the post referenced at the start. My bad.

Ah jeez.

I meant to quote a post I made at 296 but I think I wrote over it instead. I will repeat here.

In post 287 Wizard puts up that Tree is too valuable to lead the charge on him, so Hammerhead does it instead.

This is nonsense.

If Tree is too valuable to the witches to lead the charge, he was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too valuable to leave in a tie on Day 1.

Its about the weakest defence or theory Wizard could have come up with.

This was part of my original post 296 which I wrote over - I must have hit edit and wrote in the box rather than reply with quote :-

"

Wizard.

Wizard Wizard Wizard.

I read post 283 and it confused me quite a bit.

The Hammerhead fellow/gal jumps out and says he is 100% sure, as a certainty, that you are scum, and moreover, the head klucky of the kaven.

You are however voting for Tree.

I know I know I know, your theory is that Tree was too valuable to get up front and center with the zippo."

The post ended with me saying that this theory is bunkum because Tree was left in a tie for the lynch. Then I realised that I had typed I read number 283, not 287.

I meant to quote my own post in a new reply, delete everything except 'I read post number 283 and it confused me quite a bit' and put my correction - the post that appears at 296.

You've lost me... What are you trying to say?

Remember, Wizards theory for voting for Tree Hugger is that Tree is too valuable to lead the charge on him so Hammerhead does it instead.

Night 1 votes :-

Vote count

Narwhal-(1)-Hammer
Chupa-(1)-Wizard
Rickets-(1)Chupa
Wizard-(1)-Tree, Fire
Tree-(3)- Wingnut, C-note, Driver
Mael-(2)- Gunslinger, Rickets
Dooms-(1)-HiIQ
Gun-(2)-Narwhal, Scoop
Driver-(3)-Star, Nem, Tree
Wingnut-(2)-BadHaggis, UhOh
HIIQ-(1)-Dooms
C-note-(0)-Mael

No vote- Tib

15 minutes till nightfall.....PM's as required
Fire-(0)-Nem
Nem-(1)Mael

Assume Wizard is indeed right and Tree is the head witch. This means that none of the other witches are in a position to help him out by sticking a vote on Driver so as to put it beyond doubt - or even one of the other people with two votes (Mael & Wingut).

In case it is suggested that Mael & Wingnut were witches too, they would clearly get the head witch out.

And anyway, Mael was innocent.

So, if none of the other witches could help out to get Tree out, they were already voting for Driver, the guy in the tie with Tree. That's me and Star as witches, if Tree is a witch.

Hammerhead has an inconosequential vote on Narwhal. Why would he not go rescue Tree if he is a henchman ?

And that's what I think about that.

Lulz.

Basically, I edited a post by mistake - I meant to reply with quote on my own post to correct a mistake, but I wrote over it. You can see the note on post 296 'last edited by me'.

So I'm trying to explain that.

But my point in substance is that Wizard's basis for voting Tree is complete nonsense.

I am going to wait until a little before nightfall to post a suspect list. I really want to focus on Wiz. I got sidetracked a little with Doom, but at least they were posting. I am hoping to not get killed by the witches tonight, but think it would be a good idea to post some suspects, just in case. I think the fact that Wiz is voting for me makes me more of a suspect if he comes up as a witch, which I think he will. I think now it is all about damage control for the witches. There are still lots of non-posters and low-posters. I am surprised that no one has parked a vote on one of them.

oooooh ok, after reading post 302 I see what you're saying.

Yeah that's reasonable. I wouldn't wait around though, it always helps - there's a chance of one turn in this game if I remember correctly too.

OK based on what I looked at previously I had identified Wizard, Doomsday and Hi IQ in a mild to lukewarm way.

Wizard I still lean towards witch, and this is a stronger leaning than I had previously.

I read Doomsday earlier today as defending Wizard. Certainly nothing they have done has reduced my suspicion. I still lean them towards witch.

Hi IQ has not posted enough for me to either get more or less suspicious of them.

As regards any new developments, I have found Narwhals posting odd today.

If Wizard gets lynched and comes up innocent, it is difficult or impossible not to lynch Hammerhead immediately.

I'm inclined to look back over the posts after Hammerheads assertion that Wizard is scum to see if there is anything which really looks like teamwork, mis-direction or panic. I mean, once Hammerhead says that it becomes pretty much lynch Wizard or lynch Hammerhead and any effort to distract from that looks suspicious to me.

I don't know if you ignored this Wizard or have never played the game before or presumed that because I asked anybody to do it you wouldn't have to :-

Oh yeah and if somebody could link me to a game in which wizard played for the scum that would be super.

But a response of some kind would be nice.

Sorry folks really should have sat this one out. I've read through and while I don't like 100% certainity I don't see voting any way other than to burn Wiz at this point.
