Mafia 104 - Dawg the Bounty Hunter - The Play

for lack of anyone better to go on than to be random, I am gonna place my vote where he had assumed everyone would. I vote to lynch FF. Welcome back to the game, bud.... where are you??

This post, when I read it, created a tiny twing in my gut. Not because my name was in it, but rather because it seemed like DD was hoping to point out that I was/am posting considerably less in this game then usual, which many take as a reason to vote me. DD, were you hoping that I would see this and get defensive? Or that others would see it and vote me with you (like RB did)?

If I was a scummy dealer or addict I wouldn't be saying I don't want blood on my hands. that's a little too obvious a statement even for me.

Sorry to lose you piranha. Don't forget. It's just a game. And it's all about eliciting a reaction so that reaction can be judged.

Okay, the first part of this is something that I always get called out for, and have seen other get called out for: he basically 'I did this, so I can't be evil'. Subtle defense?

I'm more interested in looking at veteran players. I know if I was the dealer I would have recruited you, pap, lab rat, and maybe rb. You four are top of my list for that reason. it might be a bit of a stretch but I just know my strategy would be to turn players that I know play well. At the same time there's only 3 scum right now and they are outnumbered bad but I'm willing to bet that one of you four were either turned or started as the dealer (and if one of you started as the dealer I think that at least 2 of you are scum)

I urge all townies to think about that.

Is it just me, or does this feel like a deflection of possible suspicion? Anyone else get that feeling?

I'm off to bed, and may or may not be on tomorrow morning. I will likely be on tomorrow afternoon after 4pm or so (maybe later if the bus is slow). Cya then :)

Did you do the turning?

The fact that the game seemed to take a more serious, intense turn, then AAF wanders in talking about eenie, meenie, miney moe to choose a vote. It's like he didn't even bother to read the thread. Why wouldn't he read the thread if he is trying to help the town?

Nope.

Labby, what was it about AAF that prompted your final statement here?

While we're talking about AAF, Pappy, have you never heard of eenie meenie miney moe? It surprised me a little that you didn't get this, but you kept on and on about it...
I think I asked maybe twice...the second time was more giving AAF a hard time about it since there had already been talk of random votes not being random.

Oh, just one last note, then I'm really off to bed.

Rich said he voted for the last person to vote. Idk how you turn post into vote, but bally hadn't actually placed a vote at that time. If they were communicating scum together, it's entirely possible that Rich was supposed to vote Bally AFTER she placed her vote, by screwed up and made his post before her (maybe assuming she was placing a vote in her post). This would make his vote on her distancing and would also explain the wording of his post.

Fish friend you can be confident that I'm more focused on helping the town rather than deflecting suspicion. Pap's comment about maybe wanting to hide something wasn't enough to make me defend or deflect anything. It was probably just an observation like yours and it's not enough to make me worried about others being suspicious.

BUT
What is suspicious to me is you and pap have now said something about me possibly having ulterior motives. Could be coincidence but it's really making me wonder.

Nice job FF, I am impressed you came up with that. happens I did misspeak or type I guess but it could be read they way you pointed it out.

In a day full of random votes what makes Rich's noteworthy?

4:43 am pacific time this morning Chill questions Zaff about his vote on Rich.

It's because he claimed it to be random, however it doesn't appear to be.

5:58 am Zaffy responds.

Kind of a stretch, especially before the first nightfall.

I retract my vote to lynch rb and vote to lynch zaffy

6:41 am Neph votes.

I looked at this and can't seem to see it as anything but opportunistic.

Neph, why didn't you question Zaffy about his response?

It seems as though you were waiting for someone to question him so you could jump on and vote. Your reason stated in your vote post wa just as big a stretch as his response to Chill was.

You're right it was a stretch but what else would I have to go on? It's not like there's much opportunity to take advantage of in the first round. That's also the same answer zaf would have given me so there was no point in questioning him. First round = gut reaction to something. He placed a meaning on it that I didn't see which made me vote same as he voted because he saw a meaning in a "random" vote.

Plus I didn't need to question him. Seeing the reaction to the vote was what I wanted. Not a reply to a question I asked. Sometimes people reveal more that way. That said, I didn't glean much from his reaction.

What I'm wondering is how that can only be opportunistic to you. It's a pretty definitive conclusion to be coming to and I'd like to know what makes you so sure.

In case you get a chance to check in during the day.... Wizard, why did you vote Zaffy for tootin' instead of Labby? You do vote Lab sometimes on Day 1 when it's all still random/lighthearted.... and we already know Lab didn't get swept away from Isaac.

I didn't vote Zaff for tootin', I voted Zaff for saying "darn tootin" which was about the best I could come up with at the time.

As you well know, if I place a joke vote on D1 I at least try to find something humorous to base it on.
