Mafia 104 - Dawg the Bounty Hunter - The Play

I find it interesting that in a game in where there very easily should be no UDs (unless you're careless enough to not vote twice) that there seems to be more emphasis on having specifically a placeholder vote...

Would you be happier if I let my vote slip so the scum get a double vote?

I had to pop in to comment on this.

This actually made me LOL. A friend of mine now thinks I'm insane. It's so funny because I had the thought earlier that it was strange that I don't find you any more suspect than anyone else after day 1. I also thought it was a little strange that you hadn't posted a video yet the entire game.

I hear what you're saying. And it makes sense. At this point tbh, I don't know what to think and much like you're vote on Rich it's the best I have to go on atm.

I guess right now, I don't get a scum feel from Neph. After playing closely with him last game, I see him making much the same kind of posts and arguments he made then. This is not to say I trust him, but I haven't seen any flags yet.

AAF is AAF. I'm not worried about him for the moment.

Kash's posts deserve a much better read when I have time before I make any kind of decision.

FF... jeez. he's FF, who knows. but I'm not getting a heavy vibe from him right now.

RB... same as FF.

Labby... (congrats!!!) no vibe yet.

This is not intended intended to be a "list". It is also not intended to be all inclusive. This is a collection of unrelated, random thoughts that occurred to me at the time I wrote the post. =)
I've been mostly texting from work where they block my utube.

No FF, I said the only reason I held back voting him already was I couldn't see Dawg leaving him with such a critical role with random assignments and I doubted he'd be anyone's 1st pick as a guaranteed turn. Once Pappy commented about it, I realized he was right. Every player stood the exact same chance of drawing any role. So (right or wrong) I voted my best suspect.... just like we're supposed to do. That was when Pir flipped out, got OMGUSSY, and brought personal issues into this that he couldn't set aside. Pir self-destructed of his own accord after I left the site.

The point being... no one was "unlikely" to be assigned the dealer role.

Ok Dun...

the pir/kash thing seemed like it was more on a personal level then a game thing to me. not sure how to take it and it's already done and over with. wish there was more to go on with that.

the whole "thank you" situation made me want to think there was a scum alliance or PR involvement, but with pir gone that seems less likely since he turned up innocent. although i might want to keep an eye on jp and chill. not sure yet.

as for the whole random thing with rich... i can see wanting to out rich early if he is indeed scum. he has a tendency of sticking around till the end and almost coming out of the woodwork to be a power player in the final stages. as for seeing a D1 vote as anything but random... idk about that one.

but to clear things up about how random things can be... i vote to lynch the whomever posts the very next post after this one.

Above you very clearly state that my post could indicate a SCUM alliance (or PR involvement) and then say you're going to keep an eye on me and Chill. You also state that Pir's innocence had something to do with it, although I can't think of a reason why that even mattered.

Please explain how me saying "Thanks" is an indication of me and Chill communicating within the thread and why Pir flipping innocent had any involvement.

Here I first question your statement.

you're a good player. it might mean something, it might be irrelevant. however, if i had an explanation worth regurgitating at this time, rest assured i'd be "positive" you were scum and i'd have voted for you by now.

P.S. this as far as i've read through so far. i'm catching up again.

Your response basically just states that it could be something or it couldn't be...no explanation as to how it was possible or why me and Chill would have done what you said.

If that one word response could hold any legitimate meaning then essentially anything I say could mean something...which really means nothing in this game because that's the point of mafia, to find meaning and intent behind what is being typed. But for you and Bally and whomever else mentioned it to say "Chill and Pap could be having an alliance or team there" and then not even attempt to explain WHY that makes any sense for us to do so is just muddying the waters.

Here I state that you are providing no evidence for why Chill and I could be on a team. From there you don't respond...

I'm trying to process this Rich. Kash is your strongest suspect. You firmly believe she set Pir up to jump over the edge, but you join her in pushing Dun? I'm having a little trouble reconciling why you'd get behind her if you think she's scum. She's too good a player to push a question that would hurt her team. So if you believe she is likely scum wouldn't that make you suspect of her question as well?

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with Dun answering the question. As you can see I asked him one myself.

Then Chill poses a question to Rich. Your name is mentioned in regards to Kash's question, but Chill never asked you anything...

i truly believe she's a good enough player to push a question that could hurt her team and still get away with it. just like i truly believe pappy could form alliances out in the open and still keep a distance from his allies when it comes to vote counts. to add to that, we have a lot of strong players in this particular game that all have their own in-game super powers. i'm thinking of making personalized capes we can all wear during game play. :naughty:

i don't see anything wrong with that. (on your aside... when my thumb is sore i sometimes hold it out and or put it in my mouth to soothe the pain, idk...)

But you interject and say that Kash is capable of doing something while scum and AGAIN bring up my name saying I could "form alliances"

well... forgive me for complimenting someone. i believe it simply states in that quote that you are a very capable player.

but now... since you're so defensive...
i'd like to know what it was about that statement that bothers you.

When I ask what you meant, you say that it was a compliment.

The fact that you are saying I could form an alliance in the game thread...that's not how mafia games work! And the fact of the matter is I'm not sure I believe it was just a compliment because you floated that idea out there earlier in regards to the "Thanks" comment I posted to Chill.

Then I ask again why you specifically said I could form an alliance. I also say that I don't think it was a compliment because you mentioned me and alliances earlier (look above).
taking everything in context for what it is
but still singling this out since it's the second time you've insisted it just doesn't work that way

i would like to take this time to point out that to railroad another player... often it's necessary to form temporary alliances within the game thread... so they can take the heat when the person railroaded turns up innocent.

and you're very good at it.

you're a strong player... and i'm sure we all know what you're capable of should you put your mind to it.

that is all.

whether i floated that idea early on has no bearing on this IMO.

You "explanation" is something about me as scum teaming up with an innocent and then having them take the fall...

So, in conclusion...

1) You initially floated the idea out there that Chill and I are somehow scum or PRs teamed up because of a meaningless post

2) When questioned, you offer no reasonable explanation as to how or why that would make any sense

3) After no encouragement, you respond to a post not even directed at you and bring up the idea of me making alliances again

4) You final response is stating that I could team up with an innocent and have them take the fall

See any inconsistencies in there? Your "compliments" seem more like a facade to get my name out there and suggest I could do A, B, and C as scum without any explanation as to how that fits into the context of this game.

out of all that's been said today, I have to say the one that peaked my interest most aside from anyone else is Rich. Call me out of practice with being in the game, something is just not sitting right with me and I need to follow up with singling out his posts.

Another thought that comes to mind is FF and Kash pointing out how well composed his posts have been. While I agree that FF is playing a fine game, is well composed, and did indeed shock me with such a well thought out list early in the game, I can't hrlp but wonder why Kash is so dead set on what appears to be trying to convince everyone that he must go. I get people having thoughts and trying to explain them, but it seems like overkill. Yes, I voted FF night one but that was as said, random at best....

Still not settled on the whole Bally thing with making a post elsewhere and then posting it in the game thread. I don't understand the reasoning for anyone doing that, regardless of anyone's excuses.

going to see what is bothering me about rich...

Not trying to see FF go, DD. I just don't have the patience right now to put up with his whining.

DD will that be from a mafia den or being on line and actually reading threads..? just asking...

.

If his posts bother you why do you need to go back to see what is bothering you? Wouldn't you have already seen what is bothering you? If that's the case wouldn't you just go ahead and say what they are?
