Mafia 104 - Dawg the Bounty Hunter - The Play

Pappy...

Zaffy was up for lynching D1 but I was on Pir at the time and felt stronger about Pir. Didn't see much else. D2 I wished I'd voted Zaffy instead of Pir in hindsight on D2. I've been going back and forth on him all along.... lack of contribution but active and vocal and being faceteous.... almost too typical Zaffy being "Zaffy."

I voted Zaff yesterday to see if that would shake things up but it didn't. Neph held the lead to the end so putting Zaff into a tie didn't prompt any response from anywhere that I can see. But with Neph in the forefront, Zaffy didn't need saving. No I don't think we learned anything from it yesterday... but Zaffy wasn't really in danger.

As for the other suspects I named before:

FF is either scum trying too hard not to get noticed in the beginning. And that totally backfired on him when he put so much effort dodging just about everyone pointing out he had a bogus case. Or he's innocent and just getting in the way again, which is likely too.

Bally is probably going to kill herself tonight so she's not worth pursuing right now unless she makes a last-minute appearance to make a vote.

AAF is suspect based on the way he keeps posting he's going to do some digging someday but he never does it. But he doesn't have any other votes on him.

I still have nothing real tangible on anyone yet so I'm kinda trying to get something to go on. The only players I get an actual "scummy feel" for so far are RB and Zaffy.

RB has been too cozy for my taste..... but RB isn't up for a lynch with nobody on him thus far either, so voting there won't do anything right now.

That leaves me with Zaffy or FF who are BOTH on the board already with votes on them. I've put Zaffy in the lead with lots of time to go and several votes to be placed still. I'm hoping the final placement between now and nightfall will reveal something for us either about Zaffy this time or about somebody else.

Took too long typing a reply to Pappy, but he'll see it when he gets back I guess.

Wizard, that's probably a better response to your question too than what I posted before. I just didn't get into all that for you since you weren't already familiar with the huge list of thoughts I'd already posted.

JB voted for Zaffy... and admitted his reasoning was thin. didn't have anything better to go on...
Chill voted JB... no reason given... "hot lava vote"... "emphasis on nothing"
Rich voted Kash... no reason given
DD pulled Rich's post and voted Kash... then alluded questioning

and of course according to your own statement (agreeing with Zaffy), i didn't place a random vote anyway since it introduced bias towards folks that post early and often.

so of course... i'm still just skating by... or am i missing something?

dunno, maybe i'm wrong (happens a lot to everyone early in games... and yes... i do still consider this early with the amount of players)... but i still believe he's scum. it would be scummy to vote otherwise IMO. i just think he's usually more on point and less "jumpy" if you will. maybe him feeling sick has something to do with it (it's possible), but i'm just not willing to take that chance.

Yes you should vote where you think you see scum, unless of course you are sum then you are trying to make lynch candidate. I do not see what you see in Pap's post so therefore I must at least question them.

Dun, I have been playing Mafia since I joined AC. Only a couple of times have I ever began to suspect JP when he was scum and then only towards the end of the game.

You however, seem to be convinced that you have him dead to rights. How is that? I am not exactely trusting him, but, I haven't seen anything to make me really suspect him either.

I'm off for probably the rest of the night, or at least until nightfall...I'm going to use as much of the long weekend that's left as I can...but I'll leave with my final rambling thoughts.

I obviously highly suspect Dun of being scum. At first it concerned me that he would even bring up the idea that Chill and I were somehow forming an alliance based over such a meaningless post. Then when I questioned him about it he just shrugged it off. It really caught my attention when he interjected into a conversation he wasn't really involved in and brought it up again. The subsequent questioning hasn't left me feeling any better, especially considering how it took until today for him to find an honest-to-goodness suspect, which happened to be me after he decided to just pull a bunch of my posts and say I was being defensive.

Leave it to FF and AFF though to make me question my suspicions. I don't like how either of them so quickly latched on to Dun after I'd been back and forth with Dun for most of yesterday. While to some extent I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees Dun as scum, FF's flip flop from Rich to Dun to Rich is too much to ignore, especially after some comments were made about FF playing well like he has as scum. It's almost like FF decided to dumb down his game again, but I just don't know if FF would do that because whenever he makes such large mistakes he gets a train going on him anyways. AAF's comment about not wanting something from D1 to bite him in the butt later also is still in the back of my head, but no one likes it when it's a "AAF/FF pony show" at any point of the game...

Zaffy's name has been mentioned quite a bit and I just don't see it myself. I don't like how Chill said he would vote Zaffy yesterday, changed his mind, and then changed his mind again today. The shortly later Kash comes in a votes Zaffy without really stating anything about why she suspects him other than he is untrustworthy. Then again I could totally be wrong about Zaffy and eat crow if/when he flips scum.

I'm not sure what to think of Wiz. While his schedule may not allow it, I'm so used to him being more involved that it has me worried. I also wasn't to keen on him suggesting I would turn Neph after Neph had just flipped innocent as there didn't seem to be any point to that. He too has just thrown Zaffy's name out there a couple times, but without much commitment to whether he suspects Zaffy or not (I see a theme here).

I'm not one for reading JB or Lab and both have burned me probably more than once now because of it...RB's sudden switch to going after DD caught my eye as well, but her logic for going from point A to point B was too weird not to question. Rich has always been hard to gauge and playing scum with him last round only reinforced the fact that he's a tough nut to crack. He really doesn't give anything away. There's not much to say about Bally either because she looks to have given up on the game and will likely be gone after nightfall.
i didnt latch on to dun.

OK guys, moving into a new house is busier than I thought it would be. I'm putting a placeholder vote on someone who has struck me as scummy.

I vote to lynch Dun

Can someone let me know if that didn't bold. I can't tell from my phone.

fair enough.

ugh... he's a tough read for sure. honestly, i've been questioning it the whole time. however, to me he just isn't coming off as a townie. reminiscent of railroads past.
