Mafia #23 Revenge

acually I dont even know what bon bons are....
I know its candy in french, but im pretty sure thats not the kind we are talking aobut...

Oh my gosh, I haven't done my infamously long homework assignment, taken a shower, or fed my fish... talk about a hypocrite

Thats what he said. Just passing on the word so people dont waste their votes on you.I dont see the humor of me trying to help the town

hah! i knew it!

A couple of things that Grins said today have piqued my interest:

In this quote below, Grins responds to Ogre's reason for voting her. She claims not to be concerned about the vote. But in the second part of the quote she alludes to the fact that voting for her would be a scumtell. Doesn't really sound like she's not concerned about Ogre's vote.
First of all I am not concerned with one early vote on me so leave it there until you find something real to vote against. If you'd simply attempt to engage me then perhaps you'd get a serious conversation. But to suggest that someone won't when you've not tried is more telling of your intentions than mine.

I hope he does stay on me if he is guilty frankly. It will only be a tell for those looking at his actions.

Here's Ogre's now-famous quote...
I don't think he's mafia because he disagrees with me.

Here Cory Lover pounces on Ogre's confession...
What?! So you're saying you are mafia? Maybe I read it wrong....

Here Grins climbs on-board....but not too far on.
The first time I read Ogre's post I had thought it read "I don't think he is mafia just because he disagrees with me", but now that you point this out I find it interesting.

Beth says Hmmm, but Ogre probably wouldn't slip like that...
hhhmmmm interesting, probably a typo Orge doesn't seem like the kind of player to make such an obvious tell. But then again even the most veteran players can make mistakes.

Here Grins wonders aloud if Ogre may be telegraphing that he's scum...but she's not committing too much. Mentions that she's just putting it out there in case anyone else wants to take the ball and run with it. Kind of floating out there in hopes that it gets some legs.
That is the thing, the only time I have learned anything about his tells was when he admitted to giving them as the Detective (?) in another game. They were subtle enough that they were missed. Just thinking outloud here in case it triggers something for someone that knows Ogre's style better.

Now going after somebody who apparently doesn't find Ogre's statement worthy of questioning...
First of all it isn't an obvious error that means he has to be mafia. But his grammar was such "I don't think he is mafia because he disagrees with me" could be taken as saying he can't be mafia because he disagrees with me which would infer that Ogre was the mafia. It could all be a typo or just a choice of how to word the thought. But it is interesting that you deny it isn't worthy of questioning.

Now Ogre is looking more suspicious to Grins, all because Judge is questioning the relevance of the statement...
although I was willing to think it was a typo or preference for how to word the thought, your denying it is there is now making you both look suspicous.

Here again asking for input on Ogre to see if anyone else wants to take Ogre's statement and run with it..
I've only played once with Ogre and found him a tough read. Would be interested in more thoughts on his game style.

Now Grins again is not convinced that it's a slip up, but worthy of discussion..
I'm not convinced it is a big slip up but I do think it was worthy of asking him about. I'm waiting for him to get back from work and reply and then we'll see.

Here again worthy of a red flag..
Yes I do think it is worthy of a red flag.

/game off/has anyone heard from Jpap at all?!/game on/

Now, it's always a possibility that Ogre is scum, but he's not a dope. For him to have been scum and actually meant what was being twisted into his words, he would have to be...wouldn't he?

I understood Ogre's original statement....others understood Ogre's original statement...Grins admits to understanding Ogre's original statement. I think that Grins is too good of a player to even find Ogre's statement remotely 'interesting'. Then to spend so much effort discussing it.

Keep in mind that at the time this all started, lots of folks were watching Grins and saying that something didn't seem right. Surely a lot of unwanted attention if you're mafia.... this whole 'worthy of discussion' episode looks to me like it could have been an attempt to deflect unwanted attention.

It really seems like a whole lot of something about nothing.

Malbri tries to think of how kotd is gonna twist her words now
