I think just like suspect lists, they could prove useful to the Town as the game progresses.

Anyhow, IMO, it's self explanatory as lists are helpful to the town, again IMO. To loosely quote Coler, a beloved Mafia player, Your best protection against getting hit would be an accurate list of Mafia suspects. The Mafia usually would not want to hit you if it may point to them.
