To me the only person in this game who should do what is stated in bold above is the assassin. That's all I have to go on right now.

So for now I vote to lynch BKW.

I did however come up with a list of DON'Ts as a guideline, ill follow this list until it proves invalid

In a game where the only way to communicate is out in the open, there is no way to come up with a valid plan to trap anyone. Why you ask? cause as soon as you start the plan someone will think you're acting guilty, which has already been pointed out with the voting the king idea. If you did share it you just wasted it cause the assassin would read it.

So why bother coming up with an idea that won't be helpful, focus on other helpful things.

Due to him just picking only to bold part of my post and ignoring the part that completly shatters his reason for voting for me.

I also have my eye on noodles. The two votes on 4 ppl thing is a bad idea. if the last person to vote is a guard then they wont vote for the king, knowing that the assassin just gained some vaulable information (Im basing this on the voting period ends if someone not only gets 5 votes, but if they just get the majority at that the time. Example: 4-3-2 split between 3 ppl. Clarification please MAD). Tisk Tisk Egg Noodles, this may not be a good idea at all.

IMO the Assassin will be one of the last ppl to vote

Let me re word this in a "blond moment" sort of way....

Ice, we all pick someone to "lynch", up to 4 players...if the assassin votes the king we would know who they are because they voted the king. Is that pretty much what you were saying?

Pretty much. It would really depend on voting 4 players and hoping the assassin decides to let the coin flip determine the death and they put their vote on a 5th player instead and hoping it turns out to be the King.

The main thing though is not voting them out for voting the King, you'd have to wait a couple of days and let other lynch votes give the assassin more choices on who he was after that caused him to be lynched.

But then you have eliminated four players from the assassin's list of who could be King.

True and why I said not a good long term solution. I think it would be best to use 2 players at a time and do 4 on each and let the assassin either help vote off a guard or vote for a totally different player. I do agree though that they will probably not make a 1st vote and just fall inline with others so outing them that way won't work.

I'm guessing the best way to start is take out low posters. I will not be retracting votes and don't think others should either. If the assassin is brave enough to make a 1st vote and sees others piling on they know its not the King. By making it known that we won't be retracting he can't move off either or it will draw attention to himself.

My understanding BKW is that Day 1 ends when either we put five votes on someone or Mad gets tired of us putting around and decides to call for a vote. In which case the person with the most votes dies.

Not that it matters because I don't think we'll be going in that direction but no body would be putting 4 votes on 1 player. The idea is to put 2 on each of the 4 which would be 8 votes then the last person is either the kill vote or votes totally on someone else. The majority wouldn't come till the last voter and if a guard still would have 3 others to choose from if one was actually the king.

Right Ice that is why I said once someone gets, say 3 votes, we HAVE to lynch them because we have said that they are not the King. I think a lot of people are still trying to play this like a Mafia game. It's really something different and we need to adapt to how this one works.

Not necessarily, we could place 3 votes on the King and the other guards would know to not vote that person and put the other votes on another player.

To clarify, I'm not saying to do this. But it does become an option. We could do it without the King also and just put 3 on 1 player then the rest of the guards could vote on another player. This way we're not really outing the King as the assassin won't know if we're voting on the King or another Guard.Only risk is we don't know if the 3 is actually on a guard or the assassin.

FOr the record, I started a new job Monday. I'm so NOT playing games at work right now. I don't even get on the internet. I'll be 5:00P to about 11:00P Central.

I've seen a lot of ideas for this and I'll put my two cents in. First, (and I know it's too late) I don't think anyone should vote for a while. I think we should each be listing three names that we would be willing to vote for. Of course, some of the guards will have to list the king's name, but at this point we aren't voting, just thinking about things.

Second, (and I think Ice mentioned this), we cannot jump on the assassin just because they mention the king. We must identify him, then wait so the assassin won't know who the king really is. Yes, we'll lose some guards, but we've got some to spare. It's not a more than the others victory.

Third, I think everyone picking 4 people and putting two votes on each of them is a terrible plan. If the assassin pauses voting for just a minute (exaggeration here) then, they can control the voting. If they aren't one of the four, then they can relax and pick someone to kill. Besides, this plan basically divides the whole group into two smaller groups, if the assassin can determine which one the king is in, then his work load is halved. That's bad for us.

Fourth, as a distraction effort for the assassin, perhaps (this is a spur of the moment idea here), we should list all list three people that we think is the king. Of course, we'll be lying about all of them, but a few guards can pick the real king... nevermind, I can't really see how this helps us and it could potentially help the ***... assin

I really think it's imperative that we not vote right now.

I was just throwing ideas out there - I also said I was confused as to how to find the assassin....This game is a booger Mad! Good job! :headbang2:

I am not ready to vote yet. I have not really seen enough to go on. I have small suspisions but not really anything of substance. I hate to just wait and watch as it is not productive but I need to see what more have to say - especially the ones that have not posted yet!
