And, I really didn't gather much info from that. I had already assumed gunslinger was an innocent (too much racket) and the other two weren't really under my radar either....

People's reactions to this really aren't giving me much either....hmmm...

We can at least hope that the "other team" that Ice posted a warning to was the Mafia team and that they never sent in their recruit, and subsequently will have to take a roll of the die...

Sorry Guns; being night one with not much info, you were my best choice.
I will have to go back and start over, however my thoughts on Ogre have not changed thus far.

Well, I have to make this quick as I have a meeting in 15 minutes....
Here is why Ogre is still my best option for this nightfall, however since we only get one retraction I will wait to post a vote just to be safe.....
While I know that I was the first to vote for Guns, Ogre's saying something without saying something approach to get the spotlight on Guns is a little unnerving. Here a few posts just to points things out as I see them.....

I'm at work so I'm not going to go digging for the past. However, I think my aggressive comment was more for C-note. He was the super aggro one at the very beginning. Gunslinger too to a degree.

Except for the vote thing, which IMO was a talk starter, Mael hasn't been that aggressive.

OK, I'll try this one more time... and if I get accused of beating a dead horse, then I'm going to scream.

In all the games we've played and I've reffed. There have been, maybe, two instances where some complicated mafia scheme actually worked. The best scheming was actually done by the doc/det team in that one game. The absolute best plan for mafia is stay in the noise and let the innocents tear each other up.

Please keep in mind something here. There are only 2 mafia right now. There are four prople with votes (including me). There's no way all four are mafia, so some players are being confused by goofy statements or things they think are weird or whatever. There's only a 25% chance (I think, I hated probability in school) that one of the four players currently voted for is mafia.

Look at mael, everyone has pretty much agreed that he voted for you, DD, to get the ball rolling and almost randomly... yet he's got the most votes. I'm willing to put a fair bit of money on the fact that NO MAFIA HAVE VOTED YET.

That's why I don't think Mael is mafia. There's no profit in making this move at this point in time.

The mafia are at their best when they have someone else to twist. For example, Gunslinger would make a great mafia candidate. No one is posting anything about him at all. However, he has a ready target in Maelstrom so anything that he (gunslinger) says about maelstrom is going to be something that everyone else agrees with.

At this time, I'd like to point out that no one has even mentioned that gunslinger has at least once been caught saying things that had no basis in reality (about me and caught by me), but everyone is following him.

Now, noodles, she fits MY perfect example of what a day one mafia should be. Helpful, yet not actually saying anything. Talkative, yet not saying very much at all. Other candidates that fit this profile so far are John (of course, where would the game be without me and John at each others throats), chiclids, rich, maybe even opi, jbrad, jarred, and lucky. However many of these are new and depending on the quality and teamwork from the mafia may or may not be excused.

That's the other thing everyone keeps bringing up. The mafia talking, the mafia laughing behind our backs. Almost every game where I've been mafia, it's been pretty much 'good luck'. There have been a few team discussions, but mainly it was 'crap he voted for me, someone say something to get everyone off my case'. This may or may not be true in this instance, I can't say, which is why I'm including a few of the newbies on my mafia list.

Again, based on past play, the most vocal are most likely to be innocent... up to a point.

I'm sure that doesn't answer whatever thing you needed me to answer, but I hope that it explains my position well enough. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them.

Ummm... I thought it was obvious that he's been pushing for Mael (first vote on Mael). Now mael has three times as many votes as anyone else... wow that sounds worse than it actually is. Mael has three votes and three others have one each.

Sounds like following to me.

Plus, many seem to think that mael is scummy for his early vote for you... or at least extrememly interesting because of it.

I just looked at the last vote count. I didn't count the ones after that. But that just makes my case a little more interesting.

You know...

I'm really hesitant to vote for gunslinger, but I really want to. A vote for him goes against my thinking, but I really want to... sigh.

More stirring - lame but still stirring and drawing attention to guns....

My top two candidates are now noods and rich. Reason: forming a train on gunslinger.

I wanted to see if anyone would jump if I indicated that I might vote gun and some did. Very interesting.

Why is it interesting? Trying to see who your next choice for a mafia partner might be?

If someone is following me, wouldn't the followers be more suspect? Isn't that what your little "theory" states, that mafia try to blend in? I made a bold move and voted Mael because he was my top suspect, when everyone else was holding back. When Mael made the first move and voted you say he's innocent, yet I'm a top suspect...



So it's apparently a crime to vote for your top suspect I see...I never pushed for his lynching. Show me one post where I asked others to vote him.

Just wanted to point this quote from Guns out for the record.....(sorry for diff. color text; I am using the dark skin and when I wanted to change back from red, I had no idea what the "normal" color is, as mine shows as white???)

I've all but said that I think gunslinger is innocent. I never have voted for and I don't plan to vote for him. I am pointing out things to people... even though they won't listen.

The mafia are getting a free ride tonight.

Just look where I'm voting and I'm perfectly happy with that vote at this time. We'll see what happens tonight.

And why should we all think that you know all/see all? Your vote is on me and I for one know that vote is not on the side of the town, so why should your infinite wisdom be taken for truth? Continue on with your vandetta for me and the rest of the town will see you for what you really are. Interesting developments...

Ogre, interesting to see that you think Gunslinger is innocent. Even though you're now claiming 'trap', you did work at getting the ball moving on Gun and then backed out. Should Gun go tonight and come up innocent, you'll have some explaining to do tomorrow...even though you're now claiming you think he's innocent.

Wow, you guys really don't read do you? I said he would make a good mafia and he would have. I never said he was mafia. I never wanted to vote for him, I never did vote for him. So why is all this crap on me now?

Probably because the mafia want me discredited.

LadyG is very curious. We get nothing from her for three days, then an insightful comment about how I look evil.

Noods still mad that I have a 'vedetta' against her.

Not sure about the others, just not thinking on their own and following the crowd I guess.

You'll have to understand something about how I play this game and I'm surprised no one has seen this. I think while I'm typing my responses. Putting the words on the screen help me think.

Now, about the trap. I think it was pretty clear that I had no intention of changing my vote early on. I was and am perfectly happy with my choice of noods being a mafia. Yet, when I suggest that I guns looks evil, all of a sudden, there is a mass exodous from mael (the easy high vote getter) to gunslinger. So someone must be listening to me because until I made that comment NO ONE had voted for gunslinger.

See, it doesn't matter what I said. If guns was evil and got voted off, then noods would be leading the charge "why didn't you vote for him". Since he was innocent, I get the "almost like you knew he was innocent all along"

I didn't think gunslinger was evil because of the exact reason I posted at least THREE TIMES. Because, on day one, mafia don't act that way!

However, they might very well act like noods. Since noods knew that gun was innocent, she could vote for him and blame it on me or take the high road and just claim I'm mafia.

My top three picks for mafia: Noods, Rich and (maybe) LadyG as the turn. That's all I can come up with right now.
