Mafia #48 - Blarney Castle

Well it is down to four of us.

Rick, I am open to suggestions. I really thought we had one with sploke and that the game would be over.

Ice had cleared CJ and Opi, but we know one of them is evil.

I can see a weak case for both of them. I really didn't like when Opi blamed her vote on jpap. I also thought it was odd for CJ to throw me out there as a suspect after I was confirmed as the bartender. I am going to find the post. It was after Ice had voted for me and then retracted.

This post by cj seems to want to get Ice back on me. Ice came back with some common sense.

Odd that Ice was hit and not Rich. It is also odd that cj, knowing that someone could have been turned wants to distrust me, but is okay with trusting rich. If anything it looks like cj, who has not had much input is attempting to put some distrust between rich and me.

I am not sure if I am making too big of a deal about it or not. It kinda slipped by, I really thought it was over. The more I think about that post and when it happened, the more I am bothered by it.

I really can't think of any reason why hits have not been put in. I gave DD a pass becuase I would think she would have made sure the hit was in and she was evil.

Here is my scaled list from before. I think we can all agree that DD was the lone evil. So the votes on DD, don't clear anyone.

The last evil is now placing hits. Why they skipped the first two nights makes no sense to me. Unless they thought pix8r had it handled and didn't know what to do when their leader stopped playing.

Who ever is left, knew that their first nights hit did not go through and that their leader was not around. Most of us would have PM'ed the mod.
 
Problem is I can see the first night being an assumotion the boss would handle the hit but the second night bothers me.

Opi and CJ are both clever so could have been a lull in to security thing.

I am leaning Opi but we shall see.
 
I would like to hear from both of them. We know one of them is evil, heck they both could be.

Opi and cj,

State a case on why you are innocent and please stick with some facts. Also, present a case on the other on why they are guilty.

Both of you have not added very much to the game and we KNOW that one of you are evil.
 
Unfortunately, I have a huge paper due tomorrow evening, so I will have to make this brief...

I can assure you that if I *was* an evil, I would have made sure the hits had been made. I am about as organized as they come...I make daily, extensive to-do lists that include everything down to taking my vitamin & planning my outfit for the next day (I have slight OCD :::shrug:::). "Mafia vote" is always on my list, I wouldn't have missed it.

The first two nights, I was considerably more active & my posting times were both closer to nightfall than Cjs (his last post on the 19th was at 2:39 in the afternoon, for example). These past couple of days, however, while still checking in & getting my votes in, I have been considerably less active & have mentioned the fact that I am super busy. Why would I have missed the hit on the first two evenings, when I was around? But not on the remaining nights? It doesn't make sense.

However, I could see a scenario, where there was much evil confusion on the 1st night, so no hit, on the 2nd evening...Cj wasn't even around, so he wasn't able to check on the hit. But the past two nights, he has posted closer to nightfall, so he was able to do it.

Another thing that hasn't sat well with me is his comment about the 2nd nightfall (post #171, "ok well as i see it this sucks lol..."). As Ice pointed out, the night didn't suck at all. It was pretty clear it didn't suck...there was no evil hit AND we lost another evil. To me, it seems like he was doing the typical expected cop-out line...to appear innocent.

Oh, and the me "blaming" my vote on someone, shouldn't be considered evidence. As I explained, I honestly did not mean to "blame" anyone for my vote. I was just saying that the person whom was one of my top suspects had convinced me not to vote for, what I though was *another* evil...it seemed like a defense to me. How would I not think that?

We all kind of wrote Cj off early because of his vote for Wyom- I know I did. And he's just been cruising along under the radar, just following along with the group. But...perhaps he was the lone evil...or maybe his vote (which was a retraction) was just the result of some evil confusion or newb confusion...or maybe it was the advise of a more experienced evil who thought Wyom was going down, who knows.

With that, I vote to lynch Cj.

Alright, back to work, I'll check in again tomorrow.
