Mafia 54:Vampires Return (The Play)

how very weak and opportunistic of you..... care to give a better reason than thwat? Surely there are oplenty of other clues being left out there....

"Weak and opportunistic?"

No reason to be defensive- it wasn't personal and I agree it's not very conclusive evidence- but I have to vote for someone and you look the most likely to me. I may yet change my vote if I see something more striking. I disagree with clues "oplenty"- it's day one.

Kash and Coler seem to be the two names I'm seeing bandied the most (with "evidence") but the case for either of them seem even weaker to me. I'm not ruling anyone out yet (except Ogre... /joke) but I'm not confident of any individual being guilty yet either.

Going on gut feeling- your defensiveness against Paper (and now from me) is the only thing semi-substantial I see. You may be innocent, but someone is guilty and I can't vote no-one...

My mind is still very open and available to be swayed.

You might just explain to me why a lack of participation is a reason to drop people off your list of suspects - truth be told I'm guilty of a lack of participation somewhat myself in this game.

You went on to give the reason as it applies in your case, Coler. Participation/availability is a factor when looking for someone... "most likely to get picked by either Ice (if that wasn't random), or as a partner by the Lead Vampire, or to get turned by the vamps the first two nights."

I added you to my suspect list with the old vets I started with. I expanded that list... then took you off because your schedule and time difference interferes so often and you've dropped out or UD'd before because of it. That makes you less likely to get picked as a vampire right off the bat either by Ice or the Lead Vamp. You still could be the Lead Vamp yourself, of course, if that was done randomly. That's why I added you back as a suspect (as previously stated) because of what you've done in this game.

Ya know, I almost feel bad about voting for you. But, ya know, lead vampires have to have cool accents (meaning anything other than american or canadian), so it's gotta be either you or Coler (I am remembering right that you're not originally from the US, right?).

:D

LOL... thanks... I think!

I'm English... which according to many vampire films would actually make me a good guy. (in vampire films at least- just about every other American film an Englishman is usually the bad guy)

Vampire's always have German accents (which is odd considering Transylvania is in Romania and their accent is quite different).

Well, we don't have anyone with German accents, or Romanian for that matter, and you did mention your family having roots in the Transylvanian nobility. Plus the only other option is Coler, and how often do you see Irish vampires?

Appreciating that you consider it a weak case so I'm not directing this at anyone but I would really love to see the evidence against me presented.

Should I assume that I am "Paper"?

Its just all very confused Kashta. I thought your whole premise was that Ice was at least somewhat likely to pick the lead vampire. Using this as a basis to suspect generate you'd proceed on the basis that he in fact did so. Now, lets see your thought process

Coler = vet therefore suspect
Coler = off the suspect list because time difference/potential UD makes me unlikely to get LV from Ice.
Coler = off the suspect list as turn victim for same reason as directly above
Coler added back to suspect list in case power roles (or LV) done randomly by Ice.
Coler also added because of 'what you've done in this game'.

You might like to talk me through what I have done in this game to make me a suspect - is this the fact that I said if I was LV I would either pick the 'imo best player' or a newb under the radar as my turn which is supposed to have had the agenda according to you Kashta of distracting attention away from the veteran players, including myself ?

Hmmm...if the LV is a veteran player, whether or not Ice handpicked them (and my gut instinct is actually that it was random but that's just a hunch) I guess they would not be delighted with a focus on the perceived veterans on Day 1. They might therefore panic and send out their turn victim to bat on it. Only if they were really really worried about getting fingered though - no good veteran player would be, so early in the day when this topic came up. It would in any event seem even more unlikely/really bad play that they would themselves come out and swing at a fairly vague look at the 'veterans'.

If all that held water it would either mean :-

a) I am not LV - Kashta picks me as the one seeking to distract attention from veteran players.

b) I am not turned by LV - sending out a veteran to distract attention from veterans ? nah.

c) I am LV or turn and playing like rully badly.

I'm not concerned unduly or seeking to slam anyone's thoughts in their face - no need - but Kashta's reasoning on all of this interests me a lot. The danger is that she is just gathering heat & attracting attention (not to mention spreading it on e.g. me) but innocent, and the bad guys are cruising through the day.
