Mafia #69: Ghost Hunters Game Thread

I just read all of this. The Mrs is sleeping and I am going to slip out and play some more. I did not want to UD however.

I cant help but feel that Ice or JL or maybe both are playing us all like a Stradivarius.

I think that LR was just tired and worried and made a mistake in her wording. I do not see a great revelation there.

I vote to lynch Ice. I think he is making a mountain out of a small mole hill.

I do apologize for not posting much I will be back at home Friday night or Saturday,

Had to look up what a stradivarius was....

I guess me and 6 others are doing that.
What are your thoughts on the others that are voting along side me?
What do you think of her theory about Noods vote switch?

Kind of reminds me of your "before nightfall investigation" list, which I don't think you ever posted. I could be wrong. You were pretty busy trying to get Lab lynched so maybe you just forgot about it or I missed it.

Did a quick skim and see votes flying all over the place. I'm only on lunch break so not enough time to post everything I'd want but should be home tonight to post more before night.I didn't want to give away my thoughts till more votes were laid out.



I don't have time to find the post but I explained pretty well in one why I thought FF is innocent, doesn't mean I'm right but its my thought process for now.



It is my plan that the reactions brought forth by my coming out like that would pull reactions from a certain group. I don't think mafia would have been the 1st few on me. More likely to be innocents. Mafia wouldn't risk the finger pointing from being 1st on.
Mafia would be more likely to protect me so they could point at the innocents for lynching me when I show innocent.

My list for possible mafia, and I'm hoping there aren't this many but its who should be investigated in no certain order:

Dawg
JL
Wiz
LG
Annie

They are all players that wouldn't vote me and made excuses that I saw as protection,except JL who still chided the idea enough to keep it an option for others to vote but nothing he wanted a part of doing himself.

My next few are players that did vote me. Once a couple of votes fell on me it was safe for mafia to vote me as the finger pointing doesn't hit the middle group as fast.But is necessary to keep the train moving.

Noods I would look into just for the fact that at the time she tied me backup with FF but I'm wishy washy on her. I just needed a place to put my vote where I didn't think it would matter to see how other votes fell. Noods could be mafia so I'd also investigate her just because it would bother me not to and her vote is OMGUS.

Thats 8 players to look into, obviously they can't all be mafia unless Zaffy is trying to make this game impossible to win. I'd be willing to think 5 at most. My 3 least expected mafia would be Noods,Mael and Wiz,because he is voting Bio.

JL, you will have to bear with me in answering your question. to begin with I pulled this post of Kashta's where she pulled your posts and interjected in between.

I also pulled the two posts you immediately followed with.

Later in the thread, these posts from JL...



1 - JL makes sure everyone notices a defense possibility exists of FF by Ice.




2 - Reinforces the idea that Ice may be protecting FF by claiming he's incapable of choosing decent investigations.



3 - Unrelated post where JL asks a good question I'd personally rather see him answer for us. JL's vote has stayed on FF this whole time... yet he seems to using his case against FF here to justify a spin-off case against Ice instead. Interesting that he maintains his suspicion at this point where it was on FF instead of following his own lead to vote Ice.



4 - Taken by itself when I read it, this post from JL made very good points against Ice. I agreed with his comment the town was less likely to vote Ice. I'd wondered about Ice's play style lately, as well, with the goal in mind to stop the mafia from hitting him so fast in so many games.

Looking back at this now, within a larger scope... a more overall perspective... the last line bothers me a great deal.

And now... all those posts and little nudges in Ice's direction, seem to have resulted in this:

Tell us, John. Now that you've got the FF vs Ice race you wanted.... to show where people stand.... what do you think of it? Which players among these voters catch your fuller attention at this point?

What was the motivation for Ice to suggest that lynching an "innoncent" FF would be bad for the town? How is lynching an "innocent" Ice better for the town.

I think they are both scum, but lets say they both are innocent, which one is more of an asset alive?

Kash, if FF comes up as the prime evil, then those going along with Ice's plan will be top of my list after Ice is lynched.

This last post you did halfway answer her main question but let me ask you this.

Since FF didn't show prime evil but townie instead, what have you learned and who are your top suspects now?

Lets do this Lab. I'll keep my vote on you and you keep yours on me but we call a 24 hr truce and look at others.

Give me a suspect list that has nothing to do with me and I'll do one that has nothing to do with you. That means no linking players as scummy with regards to me and I'll do the same in regards to you.

In no order and without Lab as a suspect ( but she is)


JL- the early vote on FF was fine but keeping it there because of FFs posting is suspect to me. If I had taken a poll in the signup thread if FF would post scummy on Day 1 everyone would have agreed.

CCM- voted FF even though his posting made it sound as if he thought JL was more scummy then moved his vote to JL late in the day to a place it didn't matter.

Dawg- not as certain but seems to be not as active as usual. More of a gut feeling at this time.

Bio- Her vote switch from a lynch candidate to a player that had zero chance of being lynched even if Bio made a great case is very suspect.

JRR- votes without reasons

Rich- also a gut feeling. Rich is hard to read no matter the role. He stays pretty non committal in his posts. They usually consist of seeing both sides.


Everyone one else either hasn't posted enough to make a choice or I'm leaning towards innocent at this time.

In case you skimmed by this one also this is my newer suspect list. Lab is a suspect but the list doesn't include her as I stated I wanted to see a list by her that also doesn't use me as a starting point just as I didn't use her as one for this list.

Wow, now you are saying who the spirits should investigate. Lets just put a red X on ppl for the evil to pick. Lab, I think you need some sleep you are digging yourself deeper and deeper.

I was just throwing a thought out there. I suck when I don't have a communicating team cuz I put my thoughts out there way too frequently. You are right, I need sleep. Fortunately I will get to sleep in tomorrow (if you can call 6am sleeping in) since I will be teaching immunizations all day so I should have a couple free hours throughout the day to really read up on the thread.

Ice, I will post my revised list of suspects tomorrow, after I've had a good bit of sleep and more time to think.
