Mafia #70: The Time Vortex

I want to re-clarify. The rule means that any turn will become noncommunicating if the mafia's number is at where they started, which in this case was three members. Now, if they turn one person and an original mafia member has been killed, then the turn is allowed to communicate. If there have been multiple turns and an original member is killed then the first turn still alive is "promoted." Any turns who are killed will result in nothing new.

oops, my mistake I misread. So they have 3 communicating now.

Yes, actually. This will allow the game to go on, and be more fun, even for the innocent. Nothing like the knowledge that scum can expand to get you nervous for you life! Just hope we didnt lose someone like wiz or yourself.

You understand the goal is for the town to kill all the mafia and win? It is not more fun for the game to go on and on. We will start another one.

Why in the world are you bringing me and wiz in this?

Multiple turns?

Does this mean that maybe the disgruntled lab worker was a 2nd turn?

Maybe it is time to look closer at FF.

I will be pulling your posts tonight FF. If I find anything I will air it in front of the town.

But jpap changed that so 3 evils can communicate at any one time. Isn't that the clarification he made?

JPap just clarified that.

He said only 3 could talk so I would think the new recruit is talking with the two originals still alive.

Who started the code thing, kind of what got G lynched.

I brought up the code thing. It made sense and obviously others thought so too. I agree it doesn't make me look to good today.

Welcome back Rich.

Well that sucks about LG but hopefully we can learn something from it. Now we need to be looking for someone who was turned...but apparently can't communicate with the other 2 evils.[/QUOTE

What do you make of LG being innocent, Dawg? Do you see anything we can use?

I need to start digging and see what I can come up with. It definitely throws the whole fish thing out the window as I said before this happened.

Well, if everyone wants a race between Z and I...I'm up for it.

I retract my vote on Ogre and vote to lynch Z

If it ends up with Z lynched and innocent, of course Orge needs to be next. If it is Z and he is innocent that would obviously clear him. I am willing to let it go and see what happens.

My vote will not move, as I wont be back before nightfall.

I think Doll, Charlie, FF, Lab, Fire, and JB need to be watched they are all very high up there on my list.

Doll and Fire fall in the same with me, neither have posted much and seem to be pretty much going by what others say.

Charlie, isn't doing much this round haven't seen any of his famous "bush kicking"

FF, yes he said he was going to change his style..but really THIS big a change has me concerned.

Lab has said some odd things, that aren't sitting well with me

JB, seems to be following others.

In case I am lynched tonight just wanted to get these thoughts out there.

The problem is that we didn't find out what Zsand is.

IMO, part of this was LG's own fault. The other part was probably a pretty well orchastrated move to protect Zsand (who seemed to be gaining ground)...

actually, it looked like Z was never in real danger of being lynched. G had the most votes almost all day.

NO! NO! NO! NO!

We do not need to be looking for someone who was turned. We need to be looking for the original two mafia left. They are the only ones that have a trail to follow.

At this point, it's possible that the turn hasn't even posted yet (as a mafia), so how can we start looking for them on the first day after the turn. If we get lucky, then so be it. But we sure as heck should be looking for the turn to the exclusion of the other two.

Crap, stinking formatting again.... :swear:. I feel like I should be wearing a helmet for all the times I've messed that up so far.

Anyway, sorry to see you go LG... Glad to have Zombie Rich in the game. Am I wrong or is he pretty much confirmed innocent at this point?

I agree with this. I'm going to pretty much say that Rich is innocent at this point.

I am going to assume Rich is innocent.

There is a chance that Rb was turned. I had him as innocent yesterday.

I had to think about this for a minute as to why you would say this, but I think I can agree with the logic (turn the guy we already think is innocent). But that should be a little too obvious.

Again, I think we have a much better shot at an already active mafia rather than the turn.

How about that a good zombie?

Yay good zombies!

I vote to lynch Zsand.

Now, of my original five choices for mafia, there are four left:

Zsand... again, he voted a total nothing vote. None one was on Wiz before or after Z's vote for WIz (until a 100 posts later when FF joined up).

JohnLarson... voted for both LG and Zsand and again for Zsand today. If Z is mafia, then John is clear in my book.*

Noodles... also voted for both Z and LG.*

Zaffy... Another nothing vote. perhaps following Madcrawdad onto Labrat.

For now, my top two choices for mafia are Zsand and Zaffy.

* The only caveat to this is that both were on LG until very late, when it was obvious that any changes by the two of them would not affect the outcome. Then they could switch to Z without be caught in the "lynched an innocent" effect and get bonus points for voting for the other major lynch target. Again, if Z is mafia, then these two are OK in my book. If Z is innocent, then they will be my top two choices.

I hope not, though I guess that would make FF extra happy...

He has been posting less this game than normal right?

If not I could be up all night.:wall: :coffee2:

I would think they would turn someone who was favored as innocent. RB is a good choice, as is Kash.

Lab Rat wastes no time trying to bring down innocents again.

You realize there's a difference, don't you? Bishop was cleared by the newspaper headline which we believe came from townie investigation results. When the town considers someone as proven innocent (like a published investigation or a confirmed role claim) it's a good bet the scum will turn that person because of that perception of innocence. It's happened that way in many games. The evils turn someone the town knows (or knew) they could trust. And veteran players who've learned this become wary in games like this where innocents get turned evil.

The first time I remember this was a Vampire game I played... The very next turns the evils recruited were those who'd already been cleared.

Correct me if I'm wrong, JL... isn't that why you think we should no longer trust Rbishop?

No need to state the obvious, Ogre. I was pointing out that in addition to the previous mafia we now have a turn to worry about as well.
