Mafia #70: The Time Vortex

[Zaffy]

ZS and Zaffy have both been pretty unhelpful from what I have seen.

Zaffy was on after I asked his thoughts on the LG/ZS race with out offering anything other than to ask about innocents using code words.

I said last night that I thought LG was being honest, and that I don't think she was using code words.

I haven't really looked into ZS very hard this game.

Now that I'm back home, I'll be a good boy and post a little better (after work of course).

My initial reaction is to place my vote back on Zsand. But Ogre you are starting to make me a bit uneasy. My comments are in red below........

The problem is that we didn't find out what Zsand is.

IMO, part of this was LG's own fault. The other part was probably a pretty well orchastrated move to protect Zsand (who seemed to be gaining ground)...

actually, it looked like Z was never in real danger of being lynched. G had the most votes almost all day.

Zsand... again, he voted a total nothing vote. None one was on Wiz before or after Z's vote for WIz (until a 100 posts later when FF joined up).

JohnLarson... voted for both LG and Zsand and again for Zsand today. If Z is mafia, then John is clear in my book.*

Noodles... also voted for both Z and LG.*

Zaffy... Another nothing vote. perhaps following Madcrawdad onto Labrat.

For now, my top two choices for mafia are Zsand and Zaffy.

* The only caveat to this is that both were on LG until very late, when it was obvious that any changes by the two of them would not affect the outcome. Then they could switch to Z without be caught in the "lynched an innocent" effect and get bonus points for voting for the other major lynch target. Again, if Z is mafia, then these two are OK in my book. If Z is innocent, then they will be my top two choices.

- If Z turns up innocent YOU will be at the top of my list for scum. Need I remind you that you are the one that started this push for Z and also planted your own seeds to implicate LG. Sounds like you are trying to make sure you are not in the spotlight if Z turn up innocent. You pointed out Zaffy's "nothing vote" but neglected to mention Mad's vote which was the same place as Zaffy's and Fire's lone vote. Who are you protecting here Ogre?

I'm perfectly willing to stake my life and the consumption of a mousepad on Z's status of being a mafia.

If that is indeed the case, then you for sure and probably Noods are considered innocent in my book.

However, if I'm wrong, then we have bigger issues and you are welcome to lynch me. In that case, then based on my thinking, you and noods will be likely suspects. If this is indeed the case, then I'll have to re-evaluate my entire thinking process anyway.

Honestly, John, this is just to keep everyone up-to-date on my thought process. I'm not voting you. I'm not voting noods.

Unless Z reveals himself to be a detective of some type and gives us a different known mafia, then I'm voting for him and will remain so.

I'm not 100% that the first day headline automatically cleared RB.

I do think it likely that both scum where on G last night. Mafia don't like to all be on an innocent lynch. There was planty of otes to hide on Z though unless they did not want to get him to close. Makes me wonder about the other votes. FF was one of those off votes and now he is happy about the mafia getting recruits.

We need to not lose sight of the singleton votes. I would bet that at least one of them is mafia....

Orge it seems to me that you already are planting seeds today that ZS could be innocent.

There was none of that talk yesterday.

To say that if ZS comes up innocent that I would be one of your top two suspects makes no sense to me. Seems to me you are setting me up.

I don't think you really even want ZS lynched today.

I think I will wait to place my vote and see how things play out for a while.....I have not lost my suspicions of Zsand, as he has done nothing to make me feel any better about his role, but I want to look elsewhere before I vote........

Zaffy, if you were so confident in LG's innocence then why did you place a worthless vote on Lab instead of placing it on Z. That could have helped save her???

So here's the final vote count for last night.



I would really like to hear more from Z, Mad, Zaffy and Fire as to what their thoughts were leading up to night and why they didn't pick either LG or Z. Obviously Z wouldn't have voted for himself. No one moved from LG or Z close to nightfall. That just tells me that the mafia (and innocents) were happy with their votes.

I still think the code words were in play, maybe not the original ones from game 56, but some sort of code words. I do not think they were able to communicate outside of the game and had to rely on code words.

Wow, I suggest two more people as suspects and they both turn on me. Interesting, they were both perfectly happy following my lead on Zsand yesterday, but now that I name them, I'm (paraphrase) unreliable, confusing, and maybe the turn. YET I HAVEN'T CHANGED AT ALL. Isn't that interesting?

Noods, I am perfectly aware of my position with regards to Zsand. I fully expect to be gone if (by some miracle) Z is innocent.

However, if I was the turn, would I still be pushing so hard for someone I would now know is innocent or mafia?

IF I was the turn and Z is innocent, then I'm obviously going to be the next person gone... depriving my team of a player real quickly, for minimal gain.

IF I was the turn and Z is mafia, then I'm depriving my team of another player, again, for minimal gain (me looking more innocent). The thinking behind this of course, is that, with the turn and Z being gone, there are still only two mafia. That's just not enough.

My status (and, in my opinion, the status of a couple of other players) right now hinges on Zsand.

I will not be changing my vote, unless a detective type reveals something important.

It just makes me leery due to how I will be one of your top suspects if ZS turns up innocent. That makes absolutely no sense at all. There is no logic in that. I am perfectly willing to be scrutinized and sent to the hangman if needed. I have nothing to hide. I still think Zs is the scummiest right now, that is not my point, you just seem to be back pedaling and it makes me nervous.

I assumed that KGB, CIA game with the code words. Makes sense with the cold and the ideology mention.

Rich was the first one to raise the whole "Code word" thing...
