Mafia #70: The Time Vortex

So here's a couple of questions:

Did hooked switch off Wiz to protect him and then back on when it was obvious to everyone that HN was the lynch target (again to protect Wiz)?

There are five players with multiple votes whose votes never landed on Hooked: LadyG, Zsand, John, Zaffy, Noods

Communication:
Now, I'm assuming that the mafia can communicate. Of course, I hadn't considered this until just an hour or so ago, but even if they couldn't communicate, then they should still know who each other is.

SO, was there an effort to save hooked newbie?

I had prepared some thoughts on the concerted effort to save Wiz, when hooked turned out innocent, but since he's mafia, was there any effort to save him?
I don't really see one. Everyone who voted for hook, stayed there.

At this point, The Wizard is highly suspicious, but is it really just saving his own rump, or was it throwing HN under the bus?

So, my top suspects are (not necessarily in this order): TheWiz, Zsand, John, LadyG, Noods, Zaffy.

Unfortunately, I can't really think of anything to ask that would help me decide right now.

Ask yourself, if you are innocent and the vote is that close, are you going to die or try to save your ***?

It is a simple question with a simple answer.

Now if you all would excuse me, I need to try to figure who to suspect based on the nights events.

P.S. Zaffy your clues really suck, I havent been around very long but your last post would indicate that it is kind of important to know what game you took us to. :rant2:

YAY!!! and BOOO!!! Losing 3 is unfortunate, even when losing 1/3 of the evil team on night 1 ROCKS! I've got to put the baby to bed (quite the process, lol) but will be back later, assuming I don't fall asleep with her in the rocker.

That was still one of my early games and it drove me insane the whole time. But that was the first time I played as a PR where I didn't get myself lynched on like Day 1 or 2. It might even be the first time I lived through to the end... so I really had to get into that one.

I was also the journalist so I had to investigate people, then figure out how to submit headlines that would help the town pick out the scum. But all my invests were innocents until I got turned by the demon/archangel (lmao)... and all I could put in the headline were KGB people using the code words... without outing my evil teammates. So I started out good but didn't stay that way.

Kash, could you post a headline on Day 1? And if so, how could you know what to post? Did you get to investigate during day 1?

I am fairly sure they had no idea who each other were. In the game this night was based on, it all code words.

That's my tentative thoughts at this point. The people who stuck with a singleton are (IMO) more likely to be innocent. The ones that switch back and forth, especially while ignoring what turns out to be a mafia, those are my top picks.

It is a simple question with a simple answer.

Believe it or not, this has come up a couple of times. Most of the time, when it was me, I took the hit, so that the town wouldn't be distracted by questioning my role. This is especially true in cases where I said something stupid (many, many times), yet there was something else going on that caused a group to vote on another player (with better cause).

So, yes, in some cases, I might choose to take the lynching rather than save my butt. Unless I was a PR.

A demon (or is that not a player, but more of an event)?

Out of 17 players left, there are still 8-9 PRs. Assuming a demon and a KGB agent that are bad as well, then we still have four players to find.

Are these roles given to the players that are either physicists or mafia each day?


Time for bed for me... this is just wrong.

I THINK there were 3 mafia still, they were KGB, the CIA were good. I don't think that we have more now then before..it was just that set up of course I really have no idea about anything at this point.
I have to get off here for now, if I don't fall asleep I will get back on, if I do I will get back in the morning before going to work.

I think it would be obvious that the players didn't change (i.e. those that had power roles lost them.)

But I can see where the roles themselves would change each night.
