Mafia 72-Vampires game thread

Just to put an end to this bickering so we can get on with looking for vamps, according to LR's nightfall events, UD is last on the list. It would therefore stand to reason that the staking would go through.

Can you confirm this LR?

O.K. now we are arguing about wasted votes. Please explain to me how you can be so sure of your vote on D1? I have a lot of posts to reread but would like to understand how you feel so sure that your vote was right.
I'm not SURE mine was right, but I do know I TRIED and went with my highest suspect...which is what you should do, not pick someone because you can hide behind the vote.

So tell me Wizard, what are you thoughts of voting a possible UD, instead of trying to find scum?

Lady G and Judge, you are both wrong on your take about the UD. Yes, I suspected Ice might be up to something yesterday when he suggested Lab Rat hand picked the lead vamp role because (if evil) that could have meant he was setting up Rich or Jb. But that was just a possibility, not a foregone conclusion. That plus the fact that his participation and usual level of contribution was rather low, meant (IMO) that his motives could be suspicious.

However, it would be foolish to narrow one's viewpoints on Day 1 to any one possibility and completely ignore everything else that happens. Ice happened to be the one who voiced the idea of staking DD to prevent her from UDing. Had we done that, UserName would not have been killed. That's because this is a team-building game for the evils and what happens depends on how the rules are written and where the UD event takes place in relation to other nightfall events.

Ice was right about that. And it makes no difference who posts the idea when the logic behind it is sound and in the town's favor.

It was more my stand on voting a possible UD more so then DD herself, if she wasn't a possible UD they would of had to pick someone why take the easy way...just wrong IMO for the town

OK, I can see your point. I can also see where voting the UD would have saved one of the losses.

Before you get mad , understand this. It was D1, chances of getting scum are slim.

Would I advocate such a tactic later? No I can't say that I would. But, on D1 there really isn't anything that stands out as scummy. Later in the game it is easier to find suspicious behavior.

Hmmmm, Kash...did you read this post at all?

Of course I did. I also checked the rules and the order of nightfall events before I switched my vote to make sure Ice wasn't trying to fool us.

UDs happen last. If DD had been the top vote getter she would have been staked by Bala instead of meeting her demise via UD.

Sorry Kash, I don't see it as good. Any evil could of used this as a way to "gain credit". See how you already look as though you are saying he looked bad until he suggested this amazing thought to "save" the innocents. Anyone who was evil would know Doll was innocent, thus in the end trying to take advantage of her UD and try to look good, they already had a chance of 2 turns so it wouldn't of hurt them only helped them in the fact now others "could" look at it and think hmmm, they wouldn't be evil to go along with that plan.

LOL, I don't get "mad" in these games, I just have fun :evil_lol:

From what I saw of the days events, the three top vote getters got their votes because of their posts, but for flimsy reasons.

Yesterday I almost voted FF for the same reasons.

I didn't because something was bothering me that I couldn't quite remember. As I stated when placing my vote.

g/o sorry about the RL issuues Noods, hang in there. g/o

As to 2H's play, well he did seem insightful however Bio got voted off for the same thing her first game when she was innocent.

User didn't post a lot but when he did, he made the same slips that FF did/does. Could have just been excitement about trying something new.

User don't give up just post a little more next time and preview your posts before submitting them.

Well, may as well get this out of the way

I vote to stake Ice

I think he knew both User and Doll were innocent, and threw this "plan" out there to try and make himself look as though he was only trying to help the town.
