Why would you take into consideration anything that the mod (a theoretically neutral party) said or says in regards to someone's role? My response was about all I could have said. I didn't think it was UN's place to comment on something like that, jokingly or not, but I didn't see any reason to make a big deal about it. My original post was a joke in part because it was something a player said a long, long time ago and got in trouble for it. LG bumping the older game reminded me of it, although I guess most of the current players wouldn't have understood it anyways...
You can speculate all you want about why UN said what he said. You can also speculate as to whether UN handpicked roles. You can also speculate about who would have been chosen as the first turn. I personally see that as a really bad way to play this game out. It's just a big WIFOM situation.
