I have reread the thread a few times and don't see much. Some day 1 gibberish, let's talk about pizza but not toppings.

About all that stands out is Scoop seems to be directing attention to wingnut and narwhal is directing attention to nemessis.

C-note seemed to dislike the spanish posts.

What one needs to consider/wonder are motives. Why would Scoop and Narwhal want to direct attention as they appear to be doing?

Are they scum trying to set up some innocents for lynching?

Are they innocents eager to try to find scum?

I seriously doubt that the scum would reveal themselves so early in the game by telling us to not post when from what I read it was in referrence to guessing who had what alias.(which can do us no good spending time trying to guess who is who when we need to look for scummy behavior)

I also doubt that scum would be so blatant as to mispell would twice in one sentance as Scoop has pointed out. What purpose would that serve?

I was thinking that it is a good thing that Mad gave us the option of voting no one or voting ourselves to avoid ud as I could not think of where my vote should fall. We do have a history of lynching innocents on day 1.

However, after reading today's posts, I do believe that my vote will most likely fall on Narwhal or Scoop.

I disagree with the lines in red. Sounds like some bad advice to me.

Having options is one thing and it's nice of Mad to gives us choices, but no-votes and self-votes will only make this game harder for the town to win. Town votes are the best place for us to look for scum. It's how the town makes the right connections in the end whenever we survive long enough to piece these clues together.

Sorry for being absent so long. My time is limited but I'll contribute as much as I can in the time I have. Read through the posts and will comment about my thoughts to this point.

Are you kidding? Your first post is a roll call as I see it. Why I ask? What's the need?

How do you know that Narwhal is a girl? You are quick to point fingers at someone else claiming to know the gender of another, yet you do so. Why the double standard?

The only thing so far that really stands out to me is xx_nemesis_xx and his/her/its request that we stop posting. Who would gain from silence? Surely not the town. Her/His/Its recent posts appear to be genuine. Perhaps It/He/She just had a headache from the medications?

I have to say that this is a bit of a stretch, nem only told two people to shut up, why do you classify them as "we"?

Looks like narwhal is trying to make us guess wrong about who they are. We're supposed to think narwhal doesn't know even who FF is?

Wood and wood. Don't know who that is either but I'd bet it's someone who doesn't misspell common words and who usually posts using normal capitalization. lol.

I think with hidden identities hitting scum night 1 is actually more likely because you build your case on posts and not on personality.

As far as guessing who's who, I agree that it could take some of the fun out of the game. For example... if I noticed that someone posted in this thread that their second language was Japanese, and if I could have sworn that, that reminded me of someone I had played with before.:lipssealedsmilie: If that were to happen, I might be able to have a better baseline by which to play this game, and have more insight into his role. :thm:

If something like that were to happen, I just don't know if I could leave it alone. :welcome:

While I agree that it shouldn't be a huge part of the game, something obvious can be kinda fun.

I agree with you on this one. To me the options may be useful at some point down the road and it would be a good idea to discuss these options at that point in time. But to vote no one or even yourself early in the game only serves as a cop out, kind of like voting for players who are going to UD. The town needs a voting record to gain evidence against potential scum and we get nowhere without one, basically an extended D1. JMO.

I don't see how someones spelling is a scum-tell or not. I'm sure my spelling is atrocious and you are all embarrassed to be on the same message board with me due to it.

The fact remains that this seems to have exactly nothing to do with anything.

I feel the same way about the Spanish. I would add that as this game progresses I feel that Spanish language posts should from here out be eliminated.
