So Scoop, was this another set up? I mean, you were arguing with C-note just before nightfall and they were the one who got hit.

I wouldn't consider me and C-Note arguing, as I wouldn't have put a vote on him and I doubt he would've put one on me. I could definitely see scum wanting to hit them if they were grilled as I was, but it could easily turn around and bite them in the rump afterwards. TBH I think that they just went after the person who was asking the most questions.

When I placed that vote on them, I couldn't decided between Hi IQ and Doom, and the more I thought about it the more their "set up" comment bugged me. Part of my vote was to see how Scoop would react (which was with an OMGUS) and I also wanted to see who else would react to my vote on Scoop. Turns out Haggis decided to protect Scoop and follow with a vote on me.

Isn't it contradictory that we both made the same vote and only I got grilled for it? You couldn't decide between the two leaders, so you went with someone that you thought was scum and could make a case against. I did the same.

It wasn't really an OMGUS (although both my votes could be considered that), but I saw FLAWS in your argument against me, and it doesn't sit right with me the way you kept comparing a move that you supposedly used in a previous game, to my comment on the hit on star-crossed. I wanted to make sure I put a vote in someone I thought was evil, and not worry about jumping on an innocent based off of a "gut feeling".

I don't see how BH protected me, IMO it looked like he saw a decent argument and decided to jump on. It would look nice for him to hide his vote on you, as he probobly figured it would look better than a singleton vote or a kill vote on an innocent. In his defense, I think that he called you out first on your comemnts on the whole set-up thing, but the timing of his vote doesn't sit right with me.

Never said my argument for you was perfect. I was saying if you're trying to pull a strategy I've used successfully when scum, it's not gonna work on me. So tell me, why are you so sure I'm evil? Because I pointed out your "set up" statement has been used successfully in the past by scum? Because I would have pointed out HH's ridiculous argument and voted to get HH lynched as the scum he was if I were scum? Please, tell me why you think I am scum, I can't wait to hear your reasoning.

it gives a tell as to how people are playing, when someone is deliberately trying to appear less intelligent (no offense, thats just what is implied by bad spelling) it could be a play to appear as less of a threat. It always could be legit, and even if it's not I would hope that someone wouldn't get voted for trying to post differently then their normal style, especially considering the fact that we have no idea who each other is

nope, as I said, it's implied by bad spelling/grammer. IMO it can make you APPEAR less intelligent.

how does less intelligent parlay into less logical? it might even help to be less intelligent in that you would be less inclined to over analyze some things.

first off, I just got home and have some rereading to do.



First off, congratulations. The first solid argument against me.

What was I supposed to say? It look like an obvious set-up to me, and I didn't want it to be used against me. I'd rather bring it up and be accused of being scum, then to let the scum team use it against me later in the game.

TBH I don't consider myself as one of the top contenders for the vote, as many hadn't shown up yet to place votes and all the arguments against me were weak. I think that if HH hadn't messed up I still wouldn't have been a contender for the vote, and if I was it would be because there wasn't much to go on. I don't see the scum wasting a team-mate for me so soon before nightfall, there was still plenty of time to wait and see some more votes and then decide from there.

Tib, you keep bringing up the fact that used this tactic before, and it doesn't stick right with me. You keep bringing this up, even though it's not really relevant to my gameplay. Sure I could be trying something similar, but there isn't a need to keep repeating that fact over and over again. IMO it looks like I made a good post responding to your question, and couldn't find anything wrong with it, so you went back to talking about how YOU used a hit to your advantage as scum. Not about my gameplay, just about the hit. (Yes, you did mention me being up for the lynch early, but I've already said my thoughts about that)

So, you make a case against me and then place an early vote on me. IMO it looks like you were determined to use that hit to your advantage, and try and lynch me off of it, even though I already said "I can feel a set-up coming" taking away your chance to frame me. Despite that, you still tried to get a vote on me for the lynch.

Now you can see that nobody has followed Tib onto me, and he quickly cut his losses and moved on. There weren't any "Wheres scoop?" or "Scoops been quiet" posts, even though I'm sure my post count is low. Then he posts this:



Now that you haven't got any else to vote me, you decide to cut your losses and jump into getting another vote out there. If you really thought I was scum, then you would've kept up your argument, not moved on to a train on doom.

Then you conviently join in with the excuses for not being at nightfall. IMO it looks like "monkey see, monkey do", as you post this excuse to leave after severeal others do. It looks to me like your trying to sneak away from having to deal with posts at nightfall, and blend in to the background.

as i stated in the first part of the scoop post scop could use his set up post as a way to name anyone questioning him as scum, here he does exactly that

I sort of see where you're coming from here, scoop; but what good does throwing a singleton vote out there do for the town? Do you really not have any thoughts on Doom or HIIQ?

anyways C-Note, I want to get a vote out there and he is the only one I see as being evil. As for the leaders for the lynch I need to think some more before I put a vote on either of them. I want to be sure that I get the right guy, and don't rush into a stupid vote. It would suck to get the wrong guy tonight, especially after we had a good nightfall last night.

here he says doom looks scummy to him but he doesn't move his vote to him. i believe this is post 701 which means at the time the vote was 5-3 with IQ in the lead. if scoop thought doom was evil why didn't he help lynch him by making the vote closer?

THanks for answering. I retract my vote on Gunslinger and I vote to lynch Nem because I agree with several of the arguments on him. I also think Scoop could be evil, I give them both a 75-90% chance of it, which is more then I have for the rest of you. Since day one is a crapshoot, I flipped a coin as to which one, but I would have been fine with either.

Well, I'm sort of seeing the case on HI IQ, but I also see the possible cases against Scoop and Nem. I don't feel comfortable voting for anyone quite yet, I'll re-read again and see what I come up with later. Going to be busy now.

Day 2

I have to say, this is pretty scummy. Your making something tiny (Scoop mentioning the threat of a set-up) and turning it into something big. I don't like it, and your giving me a scummy feeling because of that. Just seems like an attempt to make something small into something big.

because I wasn't here for most of the day. I'm pretty sure they call it "school", but i wouldn't know, i was sleeping through most of it...

ultimately i have no solid decision about BH, i would lean him scum for the quick turn around on scoop but not enough evidence to let me vote him. maybe after more posts and explanations i will have a better read.
