Just got home and read up. Have a couple of things bugging me. I don't like where my vote is right now since Pir is notorious for saying stupid things to make himself look scummy even when innocent (though it happens when he's scum too). I retract my vote to genetically test Piranha. For now at least.

Ok, so I screwed up. How does that make me scum?

You screwed up 3 separate times, I listed them out for you. Either you screwed up or you just don't care enough to actually play the game. Reading over the player list is a pretty basic and essential thing to do at the start of a game.

Can't be for sure as I skimmed last game but i thought JB admitted to handpicking roles. A lot of mods have admitted to this. I wouldn't recommend clouding the thread with early conjecture but once when I was on a townie pr team with Ice, HN, and Blueiz, we kicked Mafia butt by guessing who RB would have picked.

im really not likeing the way people are voting and then saying how they might not have time to come back and read responses and such. i mean if it were only 1 person it wouldnt be suspicous but its like 3 people.

Well, some people have other obligations irl, like going to the mall. It happens. At least they're making sure to get a vote out there so they don't UD.

Kash, when have you ever in a mafia game referred to Wiz as David? Was this post meant for the scum den? As far as I can recall, you have always called Wiz by his screen name. Why did you feel the need to use his real name in this post? I can't help but wonder if you used his real name somewhere else in talking with Plant, hence the need for the explanation.

My error, it wasn't JB who mod'd the last game it was FF, lol. JB, FF same difference? JK, JB. Anyway, it was FF who admitted in the last game that HE did do some hand selecting.

Wow, first 3 days are 48 hours. When reading old games, first two days being that long seemed eternal. Guess it gives more time for discussions. I am usually a low to moderate poster but anyone who can't manage to post some useful thought about the game will be getting my vote. Hope you evil carrot tops don't think you're gonna glide thru the game by hiding and laying low. Hope to see lots of posts by the time i get home from work tonite.

This post above and the constant harping on post count is what led me to believe your theory was to go after people with low post count. After rereading I see you were also concerned about content which makes more sense. The reason I thought you were going after the people you questioned in your post was because they were all low posters except one.

The one post that stands out the most to me is this one...

I have a scum list, but I don't think I'll share it.....it'll just get criticized.

Kashta really weirded me out with ignoring non-contributors and then voting Chill for that reason.

Not much to go on... I vote to lynch Kashta

Withholding info is scummy. Last game someone tried a similar tactic and was voted out and they turned up scum. I vote to genetically test Pir

Going through again, I realized I did not answer this post regarding my thought that it is more likely that scum would skip over a player list.

Lab, do you really think this is a useful point that indicates scum or townie or even anti-town vs. pro-town leanings? I don't believe it is, actually.

Townies would examine the player list wondering which among us are evil. But the scum do this too... they look at it very closely because they're trying to figure out who our PRs might be.

I think for certain players and their play styles, yes, it could be a useful point. I'd be willing to bet when some players get their role, they only read their role and have no idea about the other roles. So if certain players know who their scummates are, they may decide not to even look at the list since they know for whom to avoid voting.
