Mafia 95 - "Mayor's Mansion" (The Play)

It's not the DD thing that's so holey LG, it's the part where you thought I told MC to put his random vote on me but at the same time you thought he was detective. There is absolutely no way you could have legitimately thought I told MC to put his random vote on me AND legitimately thought MC was the detective. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

As was pointed out earlier (can't remember who, maybe Pappy or JB), an innocent would not immediately think that MC was detective and investigated scum when he posted his vote about 20 minutes after night 1 ended. That is something that scum would think. They'd be trying to identify the townie PRs. You claimed you thought MC was detective when he quickly voted after night 1. If you're a townie, why didn't you try to protect the detective somehow? You were in the very spot to give him at least a 50/50 chance, yet you wasted your vote on me. All you had to do to possibly save the player you claim you thought was the detective was to vote Chill or Wiz instead of voting for me.
Obviously I didn't think that, and I have already said so...funny how certain ppl seem to over look that. NO, I did not immediately the very second he voted Doll think that. I wasn't here much until the end...why would I vote for someone who I wasn't as suspicious of especially when I didn't know FOR SURE MC was detective, I said it crossed my mind and I though it was possible. I love how you are trying to make it look like I could of saved him all by my self just by voting Wiz or Chill, there were several that hadn't voted at that time, I made my case and did what I thought may possibly make others look at who I thought was most suspicious, it isn't very "townie" to not vote your highest suspect either

Pap, if you really are innocent I ask you to please..step back, take you blinders off and re look at things. Maybe you really thought you were on to something with MC, I can see that as possible...I did not from the get go think MC was detective, and there were several times I thought he could be scum, but as I read I remembered how he played and remember him getting himself into trouble several times, that is what kept me from voting him at first, then I did think his could easily be detective and it made since. Yes, maybe I went about things the wrong way, yes maybe it seemed off..but I thought I could help in the end as goofy as it seems. And maybe you really do think you are on to something with me, but at least take a step back and think for a bit, that is all I ask. We really need to get a scum, if you REALLY believe you have found that scum in me..by all means keep your vote on me.

ok, I have 3 more pages to catch up with but I just wanted to place thoughts out because it's getting late and I haven't much time before I go to bed. For the record, I have read up to post 1320.

OK, thanks for your answer...I thought there was something big I missed :D
Yes, I can see his excitement..which also is something that helps me believe he invested Doll and found scum. Of course I can be wrong...but not playing for so long, getting the detective role, then finding scum your first invest...yeah, I can see him jumping right out there like he did with his vote. :grinyes:

The problem I am having with MC investigating me is for one, he would have found me innocent. Knowing this, I think he may have left subtle hints but that vote out of the cage like that would have dispelled a mafias opinion of him being Detective. If I was mafia, it sure would have made me think he was wishy washy and playing without much thought, just rushing out a vote. The mafia knew he wasn't one of them and to see that vote must've had them like oh brother, MC is gonna be an easy lynch for sure and there's not way he has a role because I am not on their team either. The thing is UN was voting, then trying to take a vote back by being sloppy, saying he unvotes who he voted for and made his next vote.... which by the way seemed suspicious. You folks that claim MC would have chose someone other than UN should think about that. MC doesn't know UN's play, all he knows is that he is a regular after his time (MC's) and everyone knew him so he must know the game. I cannot substantiate for myself that MC was only going to investigate Vets that he knew. That would be foolish to use that kind of gameplay with such an important role. The fact is, UN seemed to panic and I believe MC caught on to it and checked him out.

Doll, how do you get that the mafia didn't think he was the detective also it seems you are saying no mafia voted him? What makes you feel that?
I am not saying no mafia voted him, I am saying that since using the thought that he didn't know who the mafia was by voting me out of the gate, they were less opt to taking him out with a hit.

I don't just vote willy nilly, G. Of course I've already thought about my vote and I like it where it is...

yeah I know, thanks

That was a sincere thanks Labby. I needed to think about this some more. Wish I could say I'm any closer to a decision today.

See, I got the opposite read on Wiz. I think he was even more aggressive than usual day 1, most likely because this is Kash's game. I had the same uneasy feeling going into night 1, but I wasn't willing to move of the player I thought was scummiest. His frustration late in day 1 I feel was true frustration, not an act. Again, I attribute this to the fact that this is Kash's game so he's likely to be more hyped no matter what his role. Tell me, now that we know for a fact that the two up for the lynch on day 1 were both innocent, why in the world would Wiz try to pull votes off them if he was scum? Wouldn't it be much easier and safer to stay quiet and let it ride, knowing no scum is in danger?

While that makes sense. I have as scum warned the town when they have had two innocents on the block. They didn't listen (boy was I surprised - not really) and it looks good later.

Still refuse to see simple logic.

JB already warned you about being too simplistic. Nothing is ever simple here - what looks scummy doesn't always turn up a scummy player. We've all ready seen that twice this game.

Labby might move me with logic - it's hard though I'm an obstinate *******. You'll never move me with snide.
