Mafia 97: Patrick Mafia, Crazy for Swayze the game

Wow, I already said it was the tie thing. But believe what you want. You will anyway.

If I survive nightfall I will be watching you. ;)

Mayor Patty calls everyone to the town center. With a look in his eye like he's drank too much Mercury he calls for the voting box.

Vote count:

0 DD - LR(40)
4 Wiz - JB(93) Jpap(139) UN(141) DD(143) JB(194)
1 AAF - MC(97)
1 Mad - JB(114) AAF(149)
0 Jpap- Rich(118)
2 JB - LR(136) Dun(153)
1 LR - JB(144)
4 UN - 2H(146) Rich(172) Wiz(174) FF(196)

Everyone has voted.

A tie! Mayor Patty reaches into his pocket for the towns official coin which has been passed down for centuries from Mayor, to Bala and so on...

If it lands Patrick side up, string up 'the wiz patrick', if it lands Patrick side down, 'Pat_Rick' gets the axe.

The coin is up....

.... and lands.....

Patrick side........

Down.

Did I say we string em up? or give em the axe? I don't remember things so well since I started adding a mercury blend to my tinfoil hats.

At Pattys command most of the townspeople grab the wizpatrick, string him up, and cut him down immediately with the axe and then tie him up again and axe him again... and again.... and again....

As they pour his remains through a sieve, someone finds his ID card, Patrick theWizard was a regular Patrick.

good luck town

I did say 'most' of the townspeople, Some didn't see this gruesome scene.

Patpapatpat needed some cash, so he went down to the town ATM. There must have been a malfunction because the screen only displayed "Feed me a cat." Then suddenly, two shots ring out.

Patpapatpat was a regular patrick.

Well, that didn't go as I thought it would.

I would like to start this by saying the following "holy crap, I survived!". Next, I'm a little late (duh) but I have my thoughts on the day, what few I was able to come up with while super-skimming on the hopes of finding a valid reason for voting anyone (which I didn't really find).

I don't think it's unexpected for the thread to be quiet the day before Thanksgiving. I spent the day traveling.

I do find FF's and AAF's lack of participation concerning. Weren't they going on about how much free time they'd have to devote to the game over their holiday break?

I would like to note that I was complaining that I WOULDN'T have a lot of time. We were in school Wed, Family Thurs, Work Friday. Not a lot of free time (AKA: none). So, now that's out of the way...

I don't think being a newb has anything to do with how many games one has played. To me it has to do with a person's grasp of the game. In my mind, AAF is still 100% newb.

Oh boy, what am I, 150% newb? :)

I honestly can't say whether AAF is evil or not. I do not know if he is, and looking at it as though I was in his shoes... well, it's still a 50/50 toss up for scum or not. We play the same basic way, both are easily rushed when evil and innocent, and we both dig our own graves. I would hesitate to say innocent, but only because I often screw up in the same way (overdefending) when innocent.

Quick question JB, let's look at FF's play and compare it to AAF. I didn't see any difference between the two of them in their play last game. Yet, FF started playing the same game I did back in Mafia 63. How long do you think we should give a player a pass before expecting them to step up their game?

How long before we figure they should be smart enough to not post if they can't do so without digging their own grave?

Well, it only took me... how many games has it been since I started? And I'm still learning :) However, I do think that game 4 isn't long enough to master the skills of mafia, though I'm sure some people can.

If I could re-vote, it would probably be on labby. She's the one who stated first that myself and AAF would have "plenty of time" and had been saying we had plenty of time. I never said such, and even if I had, things can change. My work could have called me in if I wasn't already there today. They could have done so Wed or Thurs too. I could have gotten sick from over eating (my sister did). So what people say they can do is rarely what happens. Besides that, why is it so vital that what is said BEFORE the game starts or roles are handed out be held to when the game starts. So yea. Labby, you're my next vote.
