Mafia #99: The ACville Files- Game Thread

You said we were mean and should be ashamed of ourselves. Then you said he might get flustered and make some 'mistake.' You never actually commented on his actions. So my question still stands.

Okay. I think you and Dawg are scum. Probably Wizard too. I got a real strong impression that the questioning of AAF was a show put on hoping that the AAF would screw up and the town might vote him next. As for his responses, I didn't see anything inconsistent from a weak player who's in over head for the most part being tag teamed by advanced players like that. The overall judgement in my mind now is AAF is more likely innocent and... yes, Zaffy, that you are a big fat meanie. :) And very likely scum to boot.

Red - We should look beyond the obvious as well for the reasons I just posted. I find it interesting that you don't agree with that considering how often Day 1/2 is made up of innocents voting innocents.

That makes you a good place to look, Wizard. Dawg and Zaffy too.

Blue - I said it made sense for them to try manipulating Ice if they can. It would be foolish not to attempt it. However, I did not say that strategy would be successful. Ice is sharp and often questions those most who try to bamboozle him.

Black - Again, let me sum this up for you. As I believe was shown by my posts with Dawg last night, Dawg has not given us great direction to follow. Dawg as an innocent usually plays his game more objectively than that and using logic that is sound.

Given that Dawg also did a 180 reversal on me when he retracted his vote... a very SHORT time after his "twist twist twist" accusatory vote post against me was odd. That made be believe I was on to something with him and he may have felt that if he backed off on me that maybe I'd back off on him.

Looking back at others Dawg mentioned in possible suspicious ways, I found it interesting too that Dawg addressed a Bally vs. Kashta scenario (regarding low posters).... but even after acknowledging Zaffy had less than 5 posts too along with me at that time.... Dawg didn't mention Zaffy again or give me the other scenario Zaffy vs. Kashta when he decided to vote me over post count. When trying to decide alignment in Dawg's case, it's always important to look at what he leaves out or doesn't say as much as what he tells us. I consider that a telling omission in his case.

If Dawg is evil, there's a good chance Zaffy is too. Bally, Zaffy, DD, and FF are the only names he really mentioned earlier. DD was a joke vote/retracted. He gave us reason to also consider Zaffy suspect too but has let that drop altogether. As scum, it's prudent to somewhere mention a teammate for distancing purposes. That would make Zaffy a prime candidate as scummate with Dawg.

Couple this with the fact that you, Dawg, and Zaffy seem to be in agreement suspecting folks like AAF, Dun, and Lab Rat gives me a very uneasy feeling. I would expect all three of you (if innocent) to be much less narrow-focused at this point in the game.

Clear enough for you now, Wizard?

Maybe you had better reread the post I made regarding those who voted known innocents both nights. You know, the one where I asked everyone to post their thoughts on them.

Other than my D1 joke vote I haven't mentioned LR. Are you after DD's title for skimming?

When you go back to read my post, perhaps you would be so kind as to post your thoughts on the players like I asked everyone to.

Why are you avoiding the question? What are your thoughts on AAF.

1. Your post listing those names is below, along with my answer to your question.

2. I did not say YOU mentioned Lab Rat, Wizard. But as part of the scum team, you wouldn't have to call out each name your team wants us to look at, would you? No. That's why the scum takes a team approach in these games.

3. Okay. Here that is.

What I would like to know, from everyone, are their thoughts on those who voted t2o confirmed innocents.

AAF, to be honest, I do believe that it was a fluke that he did that. From what I have seen in the game I believe that he is actually trying to get a grasp and learn to be helpful. I know that I went back and forth with him this morning but, I am hoping it helps him to learn how players view things and question others.

Zaffy, I am not getting all warm and fuzzy about you right now. I have posted my concerns and questions. One final question I have for you is you posted you think Dun is scum but your vote is on AAF. Why?

Noods, not thrilled with your "helpfulness" at this point either.

Dun, I am not sure, I reserve judgment until I see how or what he posts today. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt for the time being and give him a chance to go through the game with a "clear head".

AAF - Leaning more innocent than scum.

Zaffy - Gets my vote as your most likely teammate from this list. I'd even be willing to bet you a Quarter that neither you nor Dawg ends us voting Zaffy N3. Despite your efforts to distance from him.

Noods - Not active enough to read. Undecided.

Dun - Very difficult for me to tell as I've never played a game with him yet where he was evil. Unless this one is it.... so undecided.

I looked into Dun's posts a little more. I'm not feeling any better about him.

The biggest thing that stands out to me is the constant reference to the last game. This seems to me like a very subtle way to say "so I must be innocent" without coming out and saying it. Also, I've come to think of Dun as a rational, thoughtful, well spoken kind of guy. This game seems to be more... gamey than rational or thoughtful.

after getting railroaded last game, i vote to send LG to the loony bin.

yup... is that a problem for a N1 vote? she showed up innocent, which is horrible for us with rich getting hit too, but she was not only innocent, but the most important innocent PR in the last game and look how well that went.

now let's talk about bad reasons, shall we? i hope for your sake you have an air tight reason for voting UN N1 again.

let me guess... your rabbits foot ran out?

if you're not scum, don't set yourself up. if you are scum, thanks for putting yourself out there. i'm sure the town appreciates it.
Another reference to the last game. Going awful hard at FF early.
alright... all caught up.

i think i'm going to have to agree with this...

dunno about "unsuspicious" moves, though. seems any move can be suspicious at any time, really.

i vote to send ice to the loony bin.

now to get back to making dinner....
For Dun to duck in and duck out like he has this game seems a bit strange to me combined with the lack of real content in most of his posts. I think if he were really short on time, the posts he did make would be way more critical and useful. Most of what he's put out there so far is rl excuses, and just enough conversation to try to blend in. That, to me is a Dun who doesn't really want to be looked at. If he were really "all caught up" and working for the good guys, he'd have had more to say.

the part i agreed with is bolded for emphasis. click on each post if you'd like to check for accuracy. i believed at the time that labby had made a good point worthy of my vote.

after a sucky night where we lost 3 teammates, we (I) now know better thanks to the reporter. going to have to reread tomorrow and come up with a new set of suspects, maybe.

since that crappy nightfall... i'd say more than likely.
I think this post must have taken some work... getting the formatting right so that every post is clickable... Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that. But why put all that time into defending yourself? In my mind, this is Dun covering tracks instead of thinking critically about the game. He's playing strategy instead of investigation.

it's a competitive game. i'm a guy with a competitive nature. she and JP pushed until i was railroaded last game... and i was innocent. it wasn't a joke. didn't turn out well, though, but how was i to know?

actually, now that i think about it, i'm not sure i've voted once in any of the games i've played unless it was to put someone in the lead. whatever that's worth...

i'm sorry i haven't been much help. i knew i was voting LG before the game started, so i slacked off for the first nightfall. that was kind of scummy looking, i guess. after that, it's been a hectic couple days. unfortunately, due to stress sleeping last night wasn't useful at all so i'm pushing delirious ATM and i have to be up and chasing kids soon. i dunno how much i'll be on today, either. i'm exhausted. due to my inactivity, i couldn't blame you guys for lynching me tonight if you felt the need. i guess them's the breaks. i just hope the town survives to see another day. last game didn't go so well.

hopefully i get some mental clarity enough to read through later and help out a little.

i'm rambling and can't pay attention right now. hope this makes sense. hopefully i can get a few winks before the kiddos start going nutty. luckily they're not up yet. thank goodness for spell check. goodnight, folks. again...
I'm not doubting that you're busy, and stress sucks, I can totally relate. But this post almost leaves a trail. Dun says he knew he was going to vote G before the game even started. That's strategy there. The rest is just defense and yet another reference to last game.

alright... it's taken me a while, but i'm trying. bare with me, please.

what i want to know is with the discussion of possible UD's and FF being one of them, how come nobody decided to switch their votes to another suspect that wasn't in danger of UD'ing? scum or not, it's not going to help the town any voting for someone who's going to die anyway.

to be specific, that would be noods, Wiz and Zaffy.
So you kind of call out Noods, Wiz and Zaffy for something that's in the end pretty excusable and easy to explain. After everything that's gone on by the time of this post, a Dun working for the good guys would have something more to say. If I'm remembering right, he pretty much ignored a direct question from Ice in the mean time.

For now, I vote to send Dun to the looney bin.

I'll be back in a while with more thoughts on others.

Haha. Are you really that slow on the pickup today, Zaffy? lmao.

I read the first sentence, then posted. Then I read the rest. It's my job to be mean to teenagers all day, is it wrong to find joy in my work?

I'm full grown, Zaffy. (That means old.) Implied flattery isn't gonna win me over. ;)
