I am not ashamed to put my name on anything I post, be it in a mafia game or anywhere else on this site. Personally, I will not play with aliases again. I have seen posts from aliases that would not have been made with their own name on them.

I am not ashamed to put my name on anything I post, be it in a mafia game or anywhere else on this site. Personally, I will not play with aliases again. I have seen posts from aliases that would not have been made with their own name on them.
I will give you that, when using aliases people generally try to get away with more then they would ever think of doing using their actual username. I would reveal named when the game is done if I use them, as you don't need to be anonymous after the game is over. Aliases are for animating during a game to allow a user to play without pre-decided opinions on them, not to dis others. Once the game is over, the alias is no longer needed and would be revealed. However, if the overwhelming vote is no, then I won't use aliases, regardless of my person opinion on them.
Pretty tired of the alias talk. If someone on an alias says something out of the way bring it to the Mods attention same way as you would if an normal player posted it. I don't see what the difference is. People are taking this game to seriously. I'm out till you all grow up. Have fun.
Ice, please don't stay away from mafia games over this. It isn't necessary... I won't participate myself now so you don't have to avoid me.

I'm very sorry everything got stirred up like that. I didn't anticipate this would result. I thought it was something important and having an open discussion might clear the air and draw some feedback on how other people felt about it. That was all. Then as soon as I read such strong opposition against my suggestion, I tried to stop it there.
There's no harm in us leaving choices like this to individiual preferences. I wasn't trying to impose anything on everyone else. If people disagree on something, it's fine and we can respect that players see things differently.
I wish I could take back the suggestion. I obviously can't do that so please don't be offended or let that interfere with your enjoyment of the games.

I'm glad you posted it, it shows who knows this is just a game and who is taking it to seriously. You playing or not playing won't decide if I play or not.

Well I'm not playing if you're not playing. But if you're playing then I don't want to play. So don't play unless you want me to not play.
Also, I'm playing no matter what.
