Not defensive in the least... Just trying to find scum.

Using the 'gut instinct' rationale versus any logic tends to get my attention. It kind of falls in with naming someone as scum because 'their posting just seems off,' or 'you just can't put your finger on it...'. Usually it's scum (or poorer players) who whip these lines out.

Interesting...Cause that's all I had one game, and it turns out I was right on all but 1 case...And just like most supposed "scumtells" it got me voted off...

IMO there's one type of scumtell: the mod's death-posts.

Quick question for you, Hooked Newbie...

Can you be more specific as to which parts you kind of agree with?

The part I agreed with was making sure not to UD is Pro-town IMO. At least taken at face value. I might have questioned it more had Jpappy not UD'd in the last game.

Emo has played two games, one on each team...when he was innocent, he was loud-mouthed and obnoxious...and then the next game he was scum and he was silent...I know he's on, I saw him in chat, yet he's only made one content-less post...looks a lot like his previous stint as a mafia...nothing to say "for sure" but something that gots my eyes on him.

Maybe I'm confusing games...but I'm pretty sure the first game he was innocent, loud, and obnoxious and got lynched....the second he was quiet, and he ended up being a regular Mafia member.

I think CL has it correct. When Emo was mafia he was louder; as an innocent he was an extreme lurker. Either way, I don't think that we can count on Emo being innocent based on the fact he appears to be an extreme lurker this game again....

Seriously, Emo. Why even sign up if this is how you're going to play the game? You really need to speak up this go-around.

I don't see anything that's worth mentioning yet...except I may have been wrong about Emo and his playstyles...but I don't feel like going back to make sure...such a pain.

Don't think it says much...but there it is...RB is being quieter then usual, Emo isn't saying a word, Jpap isn't posting as much as in previous games...I'm sure all of them have excuses, of course. Jpap with school, RB with "playing it easy" from the drama in the last 3 games...and Emo, well he's just being Emo...

I don't think there's enough info yet for me to do an overall list, but there are a couple that I'm watching close. I also agree that the lurkers (Rb & Emo) need to choose to play and help the town or be outted as scum. If I don't see anything more scummy, I'll probably be changing to one of them. Something about bk is making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, but I'm not sure about him yet.

Well I caved in...that and I just got a PM from JM that was titled: "READ IT!!!"

And honestly I'm not willing to jump on Jpap just yet...there's been many times I've voted early just to avoid a UD...and he may have plans (yeah, the rl excuse). Honestly, I'm wondering why Mad jumped on Jpap for it...and then Ice jumped even harder on Mad...

Day one is starting off interesting...still early, and a lot of people to watch.

Three things are going to happen tonight (unless we find the COL):
1) Lynch a Mafia, Hit an Innocent: 4-7 (I can live with this)
2) Lynch and Hit an Innocent: 5-6 (One more bad lynch and the town loses)
3) Lynch a Mafia, Doctor saves Hit: 4-8 (Much better odds)
4) Lynch an Innocent, Doctor saves Hit: 5-7 (Two bad nights from losing)

Personally I see 1 and 2 being the most likely scenarios...not many games where day one is likely to cause a loss if we get it wrong...While I agree rattling cages and trying to make people slip is what we need to do, I won't let myself get fixated on a single thing...every time I have in the past it's turned out bad for the town.

As for the PM...I think JM realizes that this is going to be a game that probably lasts 2-3 nights, and EVERYONE needs to know where they stand in order for the town to win...some more then others.

And honestly, right now, I'm tired, frustrated (internet, work, etc), and thinking about going to be early tonight. Right now I've got some people on my Radar (Ice, Mad, HN)...Ice and Mad for the quick back and forth right off the bat, and HN because he's not gone along with someone else and gone after me...I just don't like how that smells, not after the last few games with him.

Then there's Charlie...someone I have no clue about...and then there's still several people that haven't posted...

Some people seem to be talking more (Bkw, Andi, Ogre), but are really just not getting drowned out in this game compared to others where we'd be 3 pages in by now. We got a couple loudmouths (HN/Cory) which seems about usual for them, and everyone else is sitting around average.

I'm not seeing anything in the numbers by themselves, but I'd like to see some people post more so we can actually see who's side they're on.

Oh, and I got an early mission tomorrow out here, so I'm popping an Ambien here in a little bit and going to bed. Sorry I won't be around to post much, but I promise to be around tomorrow afternoon and evening before nightfall unless the world falls apart over here.

And just in case the world falls apart, I'm going to put my vote on someone that's seeming the least townie at the moment:
I vote to lynch RB.

LChap, of your posts, I've pulled the most game-related ones, and it really looks like your sitting on the sidelines alot. You've posted some possible scenarios, pulled some post counts, restated some events, put folks on your radar (but haven't really taken any sides), and claimed that you want to see more posting from others to determine sides. The thing is you haven't jumped into the thick of things yourself. It seems like you could be trying to keep your post count up while trying not to offend any innocents, or draw too much attention.

How did HN reveal that he is mafia?

Glad to see posts from you but an explanation to why you are voting a certain way might help open up some others eyes to what you're seeing.
