Marineland c-220

I wasnt complaining that she asked me the basics. I knew she would, and I am glad she did. That is a plus on their part, to make sure I didnt miss something. But to say you have gotten a lot of complaints about cannister filters?? And I just felt that the tone wasnt their, almost as if here we go again another problem. They are in customer service and honestly they should understand someones frustration. You read a lot of hype on a product, and to be honest yes I am a tad dissapointed, 130 bucks is hard earned money. I havent given up on the product. I am just expressing how I feel at the moment.

i have a C360 and i just had a teacher buy a C220 at school, i never saw once in the directions that the filter had to be on to prime it. you might want to look at that again.

if you were running the filter without water in it, you may want to check for wear marks on the plastic on the inside, and on the magnet on the impeller. running the impeller dry is never a good thing.

the vasiline sounds like a good idea, give it a try.

i have a c-360 that i have been using for many months now when i first set it up it sounded like a plane was getting ready to take off. Upon closer inspection of the impellar i found a very small chip on it, marineland sent a new one out and all works great
