These fish are big brutes, growing easily to 5 inches. My wild caught male is almost 6 inches. The males turn a jet black with a broken-up lateral bar, and blue bands across the forehead. The females are a beautiful butter yellow, growing to 4 inches. These also require a large tank to prevent females from being hounded to death by the males. They are a truly spectacular fish, and if you have the room, definitely choose some!!"
