Although, if it is a M. johanni, it should not be refered to as "Electric Blue", as that typically refers to M. maingano.

These fish are big brutes, growing easily to 5 inches. My wild caught male is almost 6 inches. The males turn a jet black with a broken-up lateral bar, and blue bands across the forehead. Well, here we go again
I thought ‘Electric blue’ is referring to Sciaenochromis fryeri.
However, my bet? it’s Melanochromis interruptus.

Electric blue is the nick name or the strrt name for the Sciaenochromis fryeri.

The Johhani has a blue color morph cwith strret name of "Electric blue Johhani". It is never reffered to as electric blue. That's all.
